I also need to lose 20kg, im currently a size 12-14. I want to be size 8-10. I give myself 6-9 month, slow is better with lifestyle changes not a quick fix.

I def agree doing SOMETHING is the most important thing… But without a doubt weight training for weight loss should be your primary focus and cardio should be secondary… I lift 5 days a week, usually in the AM… twice a week usually at night I do cardio… I like hitting my heavy bag for a few rounds, followed by kettlebell swings and battle ropes… Nothing crazy, like 30-45 min of HIT cardio… I like getting my cardio in that way because it’s basically 0 impact on my knees, ankles and feet, it never leaves me sore and because I can burn more calories in 30-45 min than I could jogging for the same amount of time (which I can’t do lol) or walking for twice as long…

The best way to loose fat is cardio.
Running 3 times as week for 1 hour will make you lean as hell in no time.
Muscles do not burn as much fat as exhaling Co2 and sweating from cardio does, because fat will be transformed into CO2 mainly and will be exhaled, that's why cardio is so phantastic for weight loss.

Started at 265/255lbs and down to my lowest 212lbs....started with cardio and then weights and then stuck with weights and started doing a 3day split...back and arms/chest and tris/ LEGS for a wednes thurs friday , gave myself 4 days off...that allowed me to stay CONSISTENT week in and week out, I also do INTERMITTENT FASTING AS WELL and I Work OVERNIGHT so I go right from my job to the gym FASTED WEIGHT WORKOUT.... told myself if I can loose 2 to 3 pounds a week I should be good by the time from september 2022 till now may/june i should be down 30 to 40lbs
....and sure enough I AM... FIND what works for you and stick it with consistency and realism idea! KEEP IT 100 WITH YASELF and you cant Go wrong if you really wanna loose or get in shape condition wise!

PS: BIGGEST HELP WAS HITTING LEGS ON THE LINEAR LEG PRESS MACHINE!! I PREACH THAT MACHINE TO ANYONE WANTING TO GET THERE METABOLIC RATE UP AS FAR AS THE BIGGEST MUSCLES IN YOUR BODY RECRUITING THE MOST ENERGY AND CALORIES AND FATS FOR THAT WORKOUT....and to me SAFER THEN SQUATS , NEVER DID WEIGHTED SQUATS💪🏽💪🏽

I really enjoy running outside in nature, around the city, no gym needed. For me personally weightlifting is boring. I feel jogging is continuous and more fun especially if you have a nice route picked out and some good music. I can jog about 4-5 miles and when I do I lose 2lbs every time, this way I can predict and control my weight loss perfectly, and I'm not sore the next day after a run. I gain weight easily so I always must watch what I eat, One Meal A Day is my top pick for dieting style. When I lift my entire body is sore, I can barely move, I barely sweat when I lift and I don't lose any damn weight. In my 20's I enjoyed the weights more, I used to be more about aesthetics and looking big / shredded, now in my mid-30's I'm more about being lean and flexible. Whenever I do weights now I am sore for many days and I lose a lot of mobility. This whole bulking and cutting stuff can become stressful and life cannot just be about diets and exercise. Practicing self-acceptance is very important also. I disagree there when you say you will just be the same shape but smaller, jogging works out your entire body just like swimming, it's impossible to jog without working out the legs, keeping biceps slightly flexed, focusing on breathing and your core. I feel cardio is more enjoyable so it is easier to stay consistent with it, nothing like the runner's high. I'd say just to pick a body weight and learn how to maintain it. "Consistency>Intensity " 💯.Cool channel. Alex from Miami

Consistency is key, so its better to lift weights.

1 you will keep lifting weights after you lost the fat
2 you will be building muscles during the fat loss
3 your building a better metabolism that makes losing way better then if you would be doing cardio

You are not going to keep the cardio after you lost the weight.. and you will not be able to build muscle as good enough while your body has this need for the cardio you were doing for the last couple of months..

No man on gods earth ever lost weight by going to the gym to loose weight you just need to eat less it’s that simple. Don’t know why people try telling others they got in shape by going to the gym. Look at the facts this guy was fat as fk because he ate shit everyday. He didn’t loose the weight by still eating shit every day and going to the gym he lost the weight by not eating shit everyday.
So just cut carbs out your diet eat less food and go for a hour walk every day once you loose the weight then go to the gym and start building muscle because you can’t turn fat into muscle you need to loose the fat then build the muscle it’s that simple 👌🏽 sorry if I come across a bit abrupt but these people talk absolute shite they try selling you a dream but at one point in there lives they were the ones loooking to buy the Dream now they want to go on like there fatloss gurus when in fact they don’t even know them selfs how three in shape they are just glad there not a fat mess anymore
