Save Your Money? Sennheiser SPORT vs Momentum 3

UPDATE: I just wanted to add that the Sport have a very minimal amount of body-bourne noise when running. The momentum 3 have A LOT and I would not recommend them when running.

Why doesn't Sennheiser just provide the SPORT air-tips for the MTW3s?! Or better yet, chuck the same tech from the MTW3s into their SPORT ones...

senny TW earbuds tend to break after a few months/a year... they might have addressed the problem, but I have lost quite the bit of confidence about them lasting...

Great video. Thank you! I think Sennheiser SPORT is better, but it is in-ear type and there are safety hazards when used outdoors. Open-ear headphones are recommended for outdoor sports. They are safer and healthier. I am using the Wissony Hi Runner Bone conduction headphones myself. They are open-ear headphones. Their performance is very powerful and can be used in many scenes, such as running, swimming, boating, cycling, hiking, etc.

I bought the Momentums 3 and use em in the gym. The ipx4 should be splash resistant, and thus sweat resitsnt?

The store didnt recommend momentum 3 for workouts because of the ipx4 rating and claimed that the warranty won't cover if it breaks from it.

I sweat normally I'd say as I combine cardio w weights. After 3 weeks I have no problem. Should I be worried about breaking them with sweat and get a sports headset for workouts?

Two things are most important to me. 1. sound 2. fit. My #1 pet peeve is when an earbud drops out. If the M3 fit/security is an 8, there are many buds out there that are a 5 at best.

While TWM3 is built for the highest possible music quality, the Sport is, well, for sports. Not exactly the same thing

Hello, my friend, I have a MOMENTUM True Wireless 3 headset. My problem is that I cannot use aptx, only SBC AAC. Note that my device supports Bluetooth 5.0 codec, but it has aptx technology, and I cannot use it. MTW 3's are so ass, avoid them. 2 months after purchasing, the right bud started emitting a high pitch whistling. Realized it was the shitty ANC, resolved it by turning off, a day later I notice the left bud was significantly louder than the right. In short, ANC ruined my pair. Not to mention the numerous constant issues I've had with charging.

Can't find the sport version here in my country. Is momentum 3 able for running?

Ironcially I got both lmfao. The sports were only £120 for me and the true momentum was 99

Though I got it slightly cheaper. From my exp I prefer the momentum over the sports but that being said I workout so the sports prob suits me better as well as my super small ears

Cant the wings fit on the momentums?

Can the sport wingtips be used on the momentums? I like that feature but want the better sound of the M's...

I could use 1st and 2nd generation Apple AirPods from one of my family members..From the moment that I could also get my pair of CXPlus's I realized the sound quality was so much better than Airpods..With it's customizable EQ settings I immediately fell in love with it..
It's a little bit bulky looking for my ears but fits so well..Hope to try momentum 3 soon and so happy with the purchase❤

Do you know when will the momentum TW4 release?

If you wanted to switch the audio from your phone to your tablet, could you do that from the app on either device, or do you have to go into Bluetooth settings on the phone and disconnect there and then connect to the tablet?

Handy review. Thinking about the tw3 or sport but concerned about their anc.

Shoutout for oddly referring to specific genres like Hardstyle and Dubstep, I listen and produce both genres and both require such good bass response to sound good that reviewers always broadly describe in generic "EDM" terms that usually don't help. It's highly appreciated, good comparison and big thumbs up!

I already have momentum 2, 3 tws and senn. sport one.. And of course flagships momentum 2 and 3s have better and little bit different soundstage but I really like sport one for sport activities because fit and size and also anc is not really important when I am doing sports so for sport activities they are great and for other activities like traveling, shopping prefer momentum 2 and 3 but with all of them using spinfit cp 360 v2

What's your favourite earbuds at the moment?

The amount of Bass you can get out the Momentum TW 3 is insane. You can easily EQ them to be Bass cannons.

During the Fall Amazon Prime Event I was going to go with the Sennheiser Sports for some new gym buds, but then I saw that the CX Plus Special Editions were going for $89 - a full ten bucks LESS than the Sports! Ideally I wouldn't mind getting the Momentum 3's, but I'm poor. 😂😬
