Dr Berg should I be consuming 5500 milligrams of potassium each day if I'm a healthy 16 year old.
ОтветитьHi Dr. Berg. I follow keto diet. Just got my blood work done and my potassium is 5.4 level and slight high bad cholesterol. What can I do to lower without drugs?
ОтветитьYou helped me feel so much better. I was put on potassium citrate for kidney stones prevention and was told it can cause heart problems if I have too much potassium potassium in the body.
ОтветитьBefore I die, I will consume 100,000mg of Potassium.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing the benefits of potassium and how much we need to take.
ОтветитьWhat form of potassium is best?
ОтветитьIt took awhile but i learned the importance of electrolytes while intermittent fasting. In tracking my food intake with an app and even with healthier eating, i find the sodium is usually always higher than the potassium when it should be reversed. It seems deliberate in our food supply to not have these levels more balanced.
ОтветитьThanks again Dr Berg. I am doing so much better since I started KETO with you 4 months ago. I supplement my potassium by getting a 16 oz bottle of water and add to it a quarter tsp. of Nu salt ( pure potassium chloride) and a quarter tsp of Himalayan pink salt, shake it up the night before and then I have a cup of that water with my apple cider vinegar drink, instead of with just plain water in the morning and night. It taste great and I feel great too. I hope I'm doing the right thing because I feel great and seems to make me feel better then just drinking the ASV with plain water.
ОтветитьDoc had a question I am taking L-Arginine and cetruline is it safe to take potassium?
Ответитьbut if u take potassium gluconate u have 2 b very careful.!!! i have viewed other channel and my daughter told me the exact same thing about this one . she had no idea that i ordered it and when i tlod her . she was like dad .be supercareful with that one . she is right cause there r warning about this one . i also know there r many forms of potassium . SO DOCTOR BERG. which one r u reviewing here . sir.
ОтветитьI have suspected kidney disease. If i take even a few drops of potassium supplement, I feel very tired.
ОтветитьSo consuming potassium to counter the high sodium diet is the key to maintain the sodium/potassium ratio rather than take drugs to lower your blood pressure. I wish this good doctor's knowledge would spread throughout the world.
ОтветитьYes there is....my sister in law died from high potassium.
ОтветитьI take 10,000 a day and I feel amazing.
ОтветитьSo why are the K supplements such a low dose? 90mg per capsule? Why?
ОтветитьThanks Dr Eric Berg 👍
ОтветитьBe careful with potassium supplements. Dr Berg recommends people get it from foods not supplements. I took way too much potassium from his mix (it has almost no sodium) and got high pulse rate and BP. I was super thirsty which was my body sayign to drink water to flush it out. Blood test showed high potassium and low sodium. Went to the bathroom all day yesterday and today have no problem with urgency.
ОтветитьI am going to add more potassium to my diet and see if it helps with blood pressure. I just looked at my suppliments and it said only 99 mg which is nothing.
ОтветитьBeen supplementing around 1400mg daily of potassium and noticing improvement in digestion however I’m experiencing high b12 blood and I don’t supplement b12. Another of your videos says high b12 could mean low potassium. Should I increase Potassium more?
ОтветитьBut what if you are on 100mg of spironolactone and you need potassium to get rid of Edema? This edema is ugly!
ОтветитьShould we use potassium sorbate or potassium citrate?
ОтветитьWhat if you are eating a ton of fruits and veggies per day? I’m noticing that I am averaging around 8000 mg of potassium in fruits and veggies daily. Could that be a problem?
ОтветитьI am confused about potassium not storing in the body. I thought it did in the blood and cells?
ОтветитьInteresting, practical our cells has 98% potassium, 1%Sodium, 1% Magnesium , what if the key for every thing is here. On the other hand how we know how much is to much? How we can find out what is the real number in our body, because we know that you can scrounging a blood sample from the beginning…
ОтветитьThank you for bringing this up because I’m taking potassium with salt tea water because I do have Addison’s disease and I don’t want to overdo it but it seems to have been helping me. Thanks for letting us know how much too much is. I really appreciate that I need all the help I can get.😁👍
ОтветитьI have the Addison’s disease and I take potassium and sodium. I wish I knew how much to take of each one a day.
ОтветитьEvery time I take potassium chloride, maybe 1k , I have lip swelling and chest pain. What's the deal?
ОтветитьGreat information, thank you, I upped my potassium mostly thru food to lower BP and to my surprise it dropped around 10 points. I since decided to stick to food only just to be safe.
ОтветитьGO DR BERG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI was just precsribed a beta blocker (Metoprolol) and an ARB (Losartan). Unfortunstely, I feel like I must quit taking your electrolyte powder with it's high level of potassium. 😢
ОтветитьIf I have to take olmestartan, how much potassium supplements can I take on keto?
ОтветитьRemember, citrates and citric acid act like TUMS in the stomach. They can cause the same issues as low stomach acid can--and that's a lot! Time to rethink your citrate supplements?
Ответить1-4 ratio of sodium to potassium is only for sedentary individuals. Physically active people need more like a 1 to 1 ratio or a 1 to 2 ratio, because 10x more salt is lost during sweating than is lost with potassium.
ОтветитьAppreciate you going directly into the topic
ОтветитьAre you saying not to increase potassium if a Dr has put you on a low dosage of blood pressure medication? Once I started consuming more natural potassium based foods food my blood pressure leveled off at normal levels instead of erratic up and down swings.
ОтветитьThanks alot dr Berg for your opposite advice. It is necessary to know about it.❤
ОтветитьPotassium Chloride can cause a heart attack; that's why most supplements only have 99mg. The other forms are safer. Gluconate, bicarbonate are best. Citrate and tartrate might cause loose stools.
ОтветитьDr Berg, why do all the electrolyte supplements have more sodium than potassium?
ОтветитьPlease do more on this topic.
ОтветитьGreat info !
ОтветитьWhy is no one talking about how you can meet the daily recommendations of potassium at 4700mg safely, without consuming 47 pills of the 100mg potassium supplements that's usually available.
ОтветитьI don't like most of the potassium rich food, how do i reach the daily recommended dosage of 4700mg?
It's not like there is a safe pill at 2000mg?
606😮
ОтветитьWill 1085 mg of potassium citrate daily help me?
ОтветитьYou are so appreciated
ОтветитьDoctor, from what I understand, the FDA has imposed a 99mg per dose limit on potassium supplements to prevent their unconscious use. If our daily requirement is 4800mg, and even if our intake from nutrition is below 500mg, should we still be limited to one 99mg dose per day? I couldn't find information about this. Would there be any harm in calculating the amount I get from food and taking the remaining amount needed to reach 4800mg, while paying attention to B vitamin and sodium balance? Some sources say that such high amounts can cause cardiac arrest, and that the 99mg supplement limit was implemented for this reason.
Ответитьi'm on carnivure lifestyle 6weeks ..and take 600mg potassium chloride, 300mg magnesium chloride, 200mg kosher salt (diamond crystal) twice a day will this do me any harm?
ОтветитьDr Berg ,you re capacity to replicate the searchings in medical field are overwhelmingly and 100%accurate Good bless you .
ОтветитьIs potassium citrate doqage same as straight potassium? as it has a percentage of potassium on it (200-400mg per 1143mg aprox) so if it take 10000mg of Pc i would get roughly 4000mg, so no toxicity right?
