Use groq(LLM)+multimodal data like smell, sounds etc etc on optimus. Optimus gets smarter over the next decade(and so does groq as well). Fuse optimus with FSD and you have level 5 capability(this trinity of groq+optimus+FSD trained on Colossus+dojo+all the new AI datacenters can be a never ending virtuous cycle). I think its better to get to true intelligence first and only then try to drive a car instead of trying to hack your way through to that.

Something like first develop a humanoid robot to drive a car and then get rid of it. As of today FSD, unlike cats or dogs or just about any animal, has no real spatial intelligence

Tesla's best bet at redemption with investors is the optimization of their robots and the practicality they could offer in every day life. Their EVs are losing popularity and most often sit on lots collecting dust these days.

The term ‘individualised public transport’ made me spit my coffee out. The US will solve transportation by adding cars onto the road, cars that won’t leave the road after they take you to work. And since everyone goes to work around the same time, the car is not available when it’s needed most.
In countries like most of Europe where $60 a month allows you access to all trains, trams and buses in the city, all which will take you most places faster than your car, this idea is dead on arrival.

Mark my words, Tesla is the next Enron. It’s not a car company, it’s a robotics company, it’s an AI company, it’s anything trendy that’s not what it actually is, a plain old car company with car company margins.

But being distracted by all these new trends that help keep share prices high, they have started to fail at the one thing they did well - being a car company.

Who will clean up your robotaxi after a rider vomits in it? Who cleans it between customers? Who takes it out of service when someone slashes the seats? How do the police stop it if there is something happening? For instance you send a robotaxi to pick up your children at school. But there’s an active shooter and the police tell everyone to shelter in place. What’s the robotaxi going to do? Are we going to strictly enforce speed limits? What if you’re having a baby or emergency and need to get to the hospital quickly?

We have taxis and buses. None of this is new, none of this is transportation innovation. The "innovation" here is in getting rid of the workers, ie the drivers, and making more money for the owners since they don't have to pay wages. That's the real goal, making more money. The goal isn't to make better transportation.
