Scientists are now intending to classify two different types, Residential and Transient. Residentials stay near the Coasts and feed on Salmon and Transients have bigger curved teeth, Taller Fins and eat everything like u see here. They’re also longer than Residentials and speak different languages, and stay in different size pods. The rest are still going to be classified as regular Orcas. Probably for a very very long time too bc it took them over 30 years to notice and document these differences alone in these ones. So if there’s many more variety of ways they live it will take a very long time to study and document. Residential Orcas Are My Favorite 🤣 They eat Salmon and are probably the more serene sweeter ones like Willy 😉

Black-and-white dolphins (orcas) regularly appear off the coast of the Antarctic Wall near The Summer Gate, where they hunt emperor penguins, leopard seals, sea lions and elephant seals. It is obvious that in the summertime Orcas go beyond the perimeter of the Antarctic Wall, from where they actually arrive in closed waters located within the perimeter of the Antarctic Wall. It is obvious that these beings have not only high intelligence, but also feelings and thinking.

Orcas have to be protected, and so does all marine life, over fishing, and whale hunting needs to stop, or we won't have any marine life left. It's very sad to see these huge ships hunting whales.

I forgot to mention that Sea World and other marine parks throughout the world still have captive Orcas. Because of their sheer size, incredible intelligence and complex social structure this is one of the cruelest examples of how man tortures animals. Please write to any of these facilities and let them know that you condemn these practices and boycott them.

I was fortunate enough to swim with Orcas in the mid 1980s in New Guinea. We were on a live aboard anchored in Mile Bay when we spotted a pod passing by. We only had time to grab our masks and fins and get to the dingy. We would have the coxswain pass by the pod and then we would roll in and wait for them to swim by. It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I never once had any fear of them as you could sense that they were not alarmed by our presence and would calmly swim by. Their eyes were what really caught me. Because they are mammals you feel a sense of connection that you don’t with other sea life. They look at you as if they sense you are a friend and project no threat. I was young and foolish enough to try and grasp one male’s dorsal fin to see if I could get a tow but every time I got close he would just give a little flick of his tail and jet away. I watch videos of their hunting techniques now and just think how lucky I was that he didn’t get irritated by me. The things we do when we are young and stupid.

The bodies of Great White Sharks were found on beaches with their livers and hearts missing, it has been noted that Orca have learned these are rich in nutrients so attack the sharks for them.
