Demon's Souls Remake PS5 - Maneater Boss Fight

I killed this boss after several attempts, the things that I hate about this boss fight the most is that there’s no railings to prevent you from falling when you accidentally roll off the ledge or get striked and causes to fall off and when two of those Maneaters levitate up and perform that ground slam because it’s like an instant kill if you’re not careful enough to dodge.

Idc how old this game is it’s awful

I'm seeing everyone having so much trouble with these guys but for me they weren't all that hard (this is my first souls game). I managed to beat them first try pretty easy. I did it with meat cleaver + light weapon and second chance pre-cast. I think two things to watch out for are A) Bring a good amount of healing grass and B) DO NOT TRY TO ROLL WHILE LOCKED ON. I tried it and immediately almost fell off the bridge. Only lock on when you know you can get a hit in, and then immediately take it off.

Idk but watching this fight in comparison to the og maneaters' one feels just off.

Hope some day darksouls 2 or bloodborne have a remake like this 😢

Am I the only one who thinks that they looked more intimidating in the original? I'm not complaining, this version is really cool too, but the old ones are a bit creepier.

Bro what weapon where you using and at what level was it. I’m using the scimitar plus 5 and I think I should be using a different weapon or at least have the one I’m using. Upgraded a little bit more. I use the piercing magic to that you acquire from the lady boss before this one. But still it isn’t that effective because they move to much to get hits off right with the magic

I had the first boss defeated and the second one down to a pixel of health and rolled off the bridge

game looks cool but looks wayyyyyy to easy and for that reason... im out

Hall and Oates as a boss battle has to be the best thing Fromsoft has come up with.

Why can you do so much damage? I use the Grratsword and the magic spell aswell but low damage

The OG Game has the BEST ambience, dark atmosphere and better combat than the remake - the remake ONLY has better graphics which does not equate to a better game.

i love how there is 2 of them.. so that when im close to killing the first one the 2nd one comes and butt fucks me and then makes me taste it

The only thing worst than beating man-eater in the original was the route we had to take to reach him. That mind flayer can go eat sh*t.

I still don't know what the real boss is... the Maneaters, that mind flayer before the fog gate or fucking gravity...

I wish I had a ps5 just so I could play this one game

I did this fight first try it wasnt so bad. considering what reputation these guys had it was quite easy.

Sadly the music is not the same with the original from 2009, the music from 2009 maneater scene was so great haunting scary and dark

Thief Ring is a must for non-mage builds. If lucky, the apes lose track of you and start walking towards the fog gate. Then you can shoot them in the back with a bow while hiding behind the fire pillar at the center.

Bruh if my current sword even did 1/10 th damage of the sword u have..

This Boss is just one buggy mess. I even have the feeling it's worse than the original one. BluePoint put no love in re-balancing this Boss.

I just did a magic build and used the morion blade, clever rat ring, and fire storm to one tap them

Could not beat this boss for about 5 tries. Gave up. Came back after beating a couple of other bosses, beat it on the first try. My character build?
Endurance 35 (best stat to build)
Vitality 28
Strength 25
Dexterity 15

Didn't level any other stat up. Used Wing spear +9 with resin.

Sometimes one of the man eaters will literally just walk into the fog wall. And just stay there unless disturbed

I see enchanted weapons are still busted as they were over a decade ago aha

Craziest thing happened. Fought this boss three times, lost each time. Went back to fight it again and it's gone! I have the Archstone, no soul from it. Has this happened to anyone else???

This is the only boss where I don’t feel bad cheesing the fuck out of it every single time lmao it’s one of the jankiest fights with the worst AI. It’s straight up unfair sometimes.

after dying for a dozen times, I found out firestorm can kill these bitches with only 1 to 3 casts. The first time I tried doing this I even killed one with one firestorm but I died as well.
