Artist Demo – Multi-Media Screenprinting with DayGlo Paint

Sarah Royer is a Cleveland based printmaker who specializes in etchings and screenprints. For this demo, she walked us through the process of making a screenprint based on photographs she took of the historic local venue the Beachland Ballroom. She used DayGlo paint – DayGlo is a Cleveland-based company that has been manufacturing neon paints since 1936. We follow along as she moves through the steps of creating the screenprint, then watch as the finished print “glows” when placed under a black light!
