I went to PC one time ported a mod to use a controller most matches I lost you just can’t aim is well. Strafing is basically the same but the biggest difference is the CPS and floating mid fight that to me is just stupid. Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying 1.9 is perfect. It has three major problems as well but the fact that your potential to be successful with PVP is potentially based on the mouse and is impacted by click speed is stupid to me learning how to butterfly, click, and how to use a keyboard just to play Minecraft is a grueling process that it would take about maybe 2 weeks for you to be comfortable, making a world with your keyboard skills and probably a year before you can actually consider fighting people with the muscle memory you’ve set up but even then you’re still not gonna be able to do anything because all the best players have some sort of trade secret keyboards with better adjusted size, computers with much lower ping, a mouse specifically designed for drag clicking unless you want to buy all these applications. It’s unlikely you’ll be extremely good but that said it’s not like we’ll be enjoyable either because there’s a much larger skill gap Thankfully I started playing before Minecraft was popular, but if you try to ask new players to go through this shit today, they will just say no. They’d rather just play the prettier newer version with an objectively more fair PVP system.
