I really didn't like this new game, I feel like she didn't look like max. She had the essence but nothing crazy with her goals and story. The story was so bland and clearly they have tried other life is strange games and no one liked them so they finally yeilded and gave us more max but we don't need more max. Her story is over her story was told. We don't need more of her especially not like this. Safi is legit the worst character and I can't even defend her, she's such a nothing character and a wanna be villain but not even that? They did nothing with her.

The whole game is so lack luster and full off filler like they had no real plot. They set up a plot then just didn't stick to it.

Honestly I'm glad I'm seeing videos calling out the issues with this game cos it was definitely the worst game iv seen this year

I am really, really surprised by the amount of negative attention on this game. I loved this game. I loved the story, the characters, and the amount of detail.

Tbh my only problem is Episode 5-
Imo ep 1-4 are perfection
But 5 was seriously rushed- and it felt like the writers just didn't know how to end it- there was alot of stuff i personally expected to happen which didn't (like Loretta being a bigger character ngl im Dissapointed that didn't happen i actually liked her)

In my opinion it is not bad at all, people just collectively have decided to hate on it because of each other, before playing I didn't see any reviews or anything, I'd give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. Love the graphics and music also.

For hearing how they butchered and killed Max and Chloe connection is a HUGE reason why I'm not going to play the game. It's soooo disrespectful as a huge fan of the first game

Idk I like this game. No Chloe no Rachel new characters and the Safi switch up in the end is very interesting for the story. Chloe really held me back when liking the first game.

The nostalgic boner is crazy. None of these games' stories are flawless, just like double exposure. They read like fanfics for the most part. The ending isn't great, but let's be real before the storm ending meant absolutely nothing.

My sister and I were playing it last week and I love this game for the reason that I can now bully her now, because she looks exactly like Max in this ☠️

Just felt kind of all over the place and too muched squeezed into a short runtime. Starts as a murder mystery, no explanation about where powers come from, fan service done cheaply by barely mentioning Arcadia bay or Chloe, the detective being erased from time only for that mechanic to never be mentioned again and very linear gameplay by the end.

By the end characters lost their depth and the heel turn by Safi was weird. Everyone is so quick to just adjust to everything and that cliff hanger ending. Like please.

knew it was going to be horrible. Life is strange 1 was the best and life is strange 2 was good. Life is strange Colors started falling from there. I’m glad I gave up on the series. They started leaning toward pleasing the lgbt rather than focusing on the story.

HONESTLY WHY THE FRICK DID THE DETECTIVE DIE OR GOT ERASED BY EXISTENCE, I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS.
IT WASNT EVEN CALAMITY YET, AND THERE WAS ONLY A FEW INSTANCES-

The game is literally unplayable on PC. If you can't make it playable on most PCs then dont have it as an option on PC

It wasn't that bad, I just think people are mad because the first game was so good that anybody can't ever beat it. Also Safi is really boring character. Still better than that second game of the franchise.

LIS was so such a staple part of my adolescence. i had no wifi, no phone, but i would download the entire soundtrack on my ipod nano and listen to it all throughout the day. I'm not going to play this, probably - but even though this game is a money grab, there's nothing they can do that could ruin the first original game at least. c:

I had several problems with it.
The mysteries like Safi's murder and her friends death ended up falling flat.
The setting of Caledon was scenic only outside the turtle pub or Max's front window in her bitchin house, the rest of caledon was only limited to the Fine Arts Building and the frozen lake outside, neither were that visually intersting to me. Btw I'm a game designer.
Intensity. Over time, the LIS games have lost their intensity when it comes to tough choices or heavy moments like for example Kate Marsh's suicide/attemptive suicide in LIS 1. This leads me to the choices, the choices felt like they didnt matter especially when it came to the cop cause he would have died anyway and the consequences had little to no effect, the only consequence we got from the cop collapsing into oblivion was moses getting a white streak in his hair. Again, not as impactful as Kate Marsh. I felt little to no emotion to the characters, I only vagely liked Moses and the girl from the bar which i cant remember her name. Vinn was a bit dickish but was fine towards the end and lucas was just an asshole, almost every other character minus Safi cause she's central to the plot was, to me, completely forgettable. Hell, i managed to only speak to Loretta twice throughout the game, when I first meet her and when I say goodbye.
Imma finish off with one more rant. If you have a possible love interest in the story, dont start the game with the choice of whether you want to be in a relationship with them or be friends with them, whatever choice you make will stick with you till the end of the game. I chose not to enter into a relationship with "the girl from the pub" because i didnt know her. I didnt know what she was like or if she was cool, they just threw us in completely uninitiated. Thats like if i meet someone for the first time, five seconds later, we in a relationship, making out in the corner, LIKE WTF?! I barely know you and if i do develop an interest in you later on, give me an option. Dont lock me out because i wasn't ready.
This game has seriously drove me batty by how little was planned out and how much none of it mattered.

It’s a beautiful looking game with a shit story, look I think it would’ve been an amazing game if they thought in the story and characters. Honestly I would love the game if they had a better grip on the plot.

I may be wrong about this, but i don't like the game. Haven't played it, but that's because one reason. the relationship between Chloe and Max. Like wtf? From what i understand, the game let's you choose two options. One, is that you say she's dead, continuing the ending where you sacrificed Chloe for the survival of Arcadia bay. The second option is that they broke up, like, what? You mean to tell me that Max, who sacrificed a whole town and killing who knows how many just to defy fate and keep Chloe alive, broke up with Chloe? What? They did their relationship dirty. Honestly, it would have been better for Chloe and Max to still be together, only with Chloe somewhere else, idk, for work or something, and have no no potential romance interests in the game. That would have been way better. Or better yet, why didn't they just include Chloe in the story as well? Already being together and all that. Missed opportunity if you asked me.

The game suffers from the environments being big enough to move around and explore, but then not having an NPC system where characters move around with you. Max needs a gal pal to share her scenes with and without that a key aspect of her original story is lost; in this game she runs around alone - and that isn't Max. Now we have NPC who are in the scene as literal background who we cannot interact with, because a bigger world is better right? Only it isn't, when instead of a trucker knocking over a mug who we can converse with - the background NPC are now just wall flowers.

I understand why Cloe was cut; if players had chosen the Bay over the Bae then in their play through Cloe is already dead - how much game making effort should they put into a character who half the players wont ever see, meet or be able to interact with - do you even get the actress back in for that? and a 3d modeller, can you invest that much money into a character who cannot be critical to the story because she's already dead? Chloe was MY Bae, but for someone else she's dead (and tbh, Warren was always a better fit for Max anyway, even though I 100% chose Chloe every time).

Chloe had to be dropped, but in terms of all the new characters you are on the money with your analysis, there is less emotional investment here. We've moved on from a coming of age story about choices and onto an early adulthood game about, erm, about, ... I dunno, let's make a video game and see if a theme emerges, oh it didn't, eh never mind - half the audience for this game are lesbians so let's just make sure we add a cat DLC.

I enjoyed playing Double Exposure because I like the series and I'm always going to be up for more Max Caulfield, but if you aren't a veteran of the series there's probably little here for you.

But Life is Strange will always be just this one game. The little glimpse we get from the others games are nice but DE nope .... this does not exist.
Every freaking fanfiction I read pictured a more interesting AND realistic picture of Max & Chloe's future.

But this was literally just made for money. There is no other reason. The story was told, it's a masterpiece. And it should have been UNTOUCHED but noooOOooo...

It makes no sense to have the destruction of Arcadia Bay canon if Chloe is absent the entire game. What's the point?

The men in the story are either frail (Moses, Reggie) or devious (Vihn, Gwen, Lucas).

I have no clue why Yasmin sabotaged Safi, or how Safi managed to conceal carry a full-sized pistol in her form-fitting outfit at the Snapping Turtle (not to mention brandish it with Max for quite a while in the open).

Also, apparently that pistol (which resembles a Sig M18) has the mag-button next to the slide-release...

So disappointing how it was forced love story with Amanda and my desicions were meaningless.
