Mk4 and Mk6 my favorites 🔥
ОтветитьI have a Mk6 golfR and I'm keeping it.Also we would been lucky to get the golf mk6 convertible it was only in Europe.
ОтветитьI purchased my Mk6 right when it was first hitting dealerships in 2009 and I’ve since put 163k miles on it. It’s been a great car.
ОтветитьThe Skyrim music in the background?? I fw it 💯
Ответить5th gen is my fav gen. Best gen
ОтветитьLoved the video man and couldn't agree with you more. Golfs have always been fresh❗
ОтветитьVw golfs in my mind are absolute sleeper don't think much about them then they go really well and show beyond their weight
ОтветитьI Was about to let go of my MK6 but after watching this I think it’s time give it some TLC 🫶🏽
ОтветитьShhhidd I’d rock that mk5 allll day
ОтветитьI have mk6 gti with K04 hybrid turbo upgrade, downpipe and intake. That car is really one little rocket. It handles 350+ HP without any issues, also fuel consumption is very good and regular maintanance is not so expensive.
However it has some predictable reliability problems which could be fixed. For e.g. timing chain tensioner (update it from stock and there is no problems at all), intake manifold (flaps rod could fail and you need new manifold which could be expensive if you are trying to put OEM, but there is OEM suppliers which aren't that expensive, so that isnt big deal), some engines could experience balance shaft failure because of screens on oil passages (newer revision of balance shaft has bigger oil passage hole and it is less prone to failure. Balance shafts is not that expensive, but work on them is very difficult), injectors could stuck opened (you need to immediately turn of engine and best solution is to replace injectors with set of 4 new, also it is not so expensive, but if you drive with open injector, engine could be damaged).
Every used car has some potential problems, so Mk6 GTI has also, but tuning potential is awesome and performance is very good especially when it is tuned. Also braking and handling is good with decent amount of ride comfort. I am using that car as daily for several years, overall I am very happy with them. With good maintanance it would last long.
I disagree what you said people think people in usa and Europe thinks MK5/6 was the best people hate the 7/8 Im grabbing a mk6R and mk5 gti 4door in the future.
ОтветитьMk6 had some issues wastegate timing chain belt tensioner other than that it was a great 🚙
ОтветитьMk5 had EA113 mk6 had ccza gen 2 EA888 engines 👌
ОтветитьI’m 15 and my parent just bought one of these with a six speed, super stoked to get my license in a couple months 😊 so grateful for my parents as well.
ОтветитьBro says reliability but I replaced my motor and transmission at 120k miles
ОтветитьThe motor is different. That was the huge change. MK5 FSI engines were faulty, MK6 switched to the TSI
ОтветитьThe Mk6 GTI will APPRECIATE in Value. BIG time. Mark my words. You will see. By 2026, the Mk6 GTI's will have a 50% rise in resale value. You seen it here first!
ОтветитьI will not sit here and take Frosted Flakes slander 😤
Ответитьskyrim music goes hard
Ответитьand also the engine is not exactly the same.. Mk5's have TFSI engines and MK6's have TSI engines
Ответитьthink you got confused between the MK5 and the MK3 !!! The MK5 is the GTi that saved the GTi name. The Mk3 was a complete failure of a Gti
ОтветитьI'm ashamed to admit that even as a MK6 owner and long time car enthusiast, even I didn't know the MK5 R32 was AWD.
ОтветитьIve just traded in my bmw 335d e92 for a mk6 golf r. My love for hatches won't ever fade.
ОтветитьPurchased one in 2011. Still absolutely adoring it with 125k on it.
ОтветитьStill Loving my Mk6 GTI like day one after 9 years of ownership. Also it’s Aging very well that people think is newer that what really is 😁
Ответитьcalling any GTI a "sports car" is not accurate in the slightest. Its a hot hatch ( I have owned a mk5 gti and own a mk6 and will never call it a sports car )
Also saying the engine in the mk5 and mk6 are the same is 100% flat out incorrect ( mk5 used the 2.0fsi turbo which had a timing belt and the mk6 is the 2.0 TSI turbo with timing chains ). You need to do alot more research
You are incorrect about MK6 R motor. It is not the same as MK6 with mods. It's an older EA113.
ОтветитьMy mk5 gti has something called a thunder bunny kit that makes it look not so ugly AND I have the mk6 engine lol. Best of both worlds.
ОтветитьThere is a mistake in your video, the Mk5 and Mk6 GTI did not share the same motor. The motor from the Mk5 GTI was the EA113, which is a belt driven 2.0 liter. The motor from the Mk6 GTI was an EA888 Gen 1 motor, a chain driven 2.0 liter.
The Mk6 Golf R, Mk6 GTI Edition 35 and the Mk5 GTI share the same motor, the standard Mk6 GTI motor is entirely different from them.
Is that Far Horizons from Skyrim playing in the background?
ОтветитьThe mk6 was always the best looking of the modern gti...
ОтветитьIs this a sign to get a mk6?
ОтветитьThanks for the skyrim music ❤
ОтветитьMy mk6 turns 10 years old next month. Still kickin’!
ОтветитьA truly amazing video, for a family who will always know which car is always going to be loved. This is my fourth Mk6 and I don't see myself ever buying anything newer. I love this car! my current is sitting at 309Hp, not finished yet, and always looking for new ways to make her more power and me smile!
ОтветитьRubbish. It was the mk5 Gti that revitalised the Gti , not the mk6. Duh!!
ОтветитьShitting on my mk5 looks. Lolz, definitely love the spice the GTI brings though
ОтветитьI didn't even notice the furnace till ya mentioned it lol. Cool vid man!
ОтветитьW video
ОтветитьI’m going to start living out of my GTI
ОтветитьDefinitely loving my MK6 GTI 😎
ОтветитьCorrect it please Vw from 74 and earlier are not bettles there bugs bettles are the one from the 2000s and up
ОтветитьI love everything about my manual 2dr 2013 GTI. Just past 100k miles and it's still running strong. You can't get a better car for the money.
ОтветитьThe only people who didnt know the R32 was 4motion musta been the same ones who didnt like the MKVs looks lol. Original owner here still enjoying MKV as much as I did the day I drove her off the lot late September 2006.
ОтветитьI got a MK6 DSG I love it, has the modern technology without break the bank. His stock suspension is so well balanced compare to many Japanese cars.
ОтветитьI hate the style of the most recent GTi 😔😔
ОтветитьI have a 2012 Audi 8P it’s my favorite car I’ve ever owned. I wish it was manual
ОтветитьOwned my mk6 for about 3 years now and I’ve given up on it. I paid 10k for it and overall it’s spent half its life in and out of the shop. Only to have another issue every other month. I asked around and was told by many that the mk6 is a ticking time bomb and the engine is a money pit. I didn’t believe them till I got mine. Now I just let the thing sit there maybe I’ll junk it who knows
ОтветитьMk.6 has beautiful proportions. The side profile especially is jaw-dropping for me, mainly because of how low the hood line is in relation to how high the roof line goes. Not to mention how the A pillars swoop up (from the hood to the roof). I want to give credit to all angles of the mk.6, as I appreciate the more curves to its body, compared to its older angular brothers, the mk.7 and mk.8 golf's. It's as timeless to me as the G35 Coupe is timeless for its perfect body proportions. I do have the mk.7.5 GTI, and I did own a G35 coupe before it, and honestly I do/would appreciate to be given the opportunity to be able to wake up, walk out the door and admire these cars and their spirit.
