Very well told story! I enjoyed the sound effects as well
Ответитьwe can't even say f u to the ck musk and trump where at least trump is elected. Musk is out of control. This guy is so widespread btw DSM is useful and i've seen endless video's it feels on this guy but come on, we have billionaires and such inequality lets focus on the real bad guys but DSM is so useful. Say you get molested or abused and the reaction society has. Stigmatizing survivors not the real psychopaths. anywho it's rare though haha I think this storyteller has good motives but this story is old and we have real psychopaths like i think elon musk
ОтветитьThis video is horribly done; i've seen his others on psychopaths and they were good. psychopaths are uncommon. we need to learn to work together. There is too much emphasis on the boogeyman as a counselor who is a survivor. we are too tantilized including myself. It's important we hold tyrants credible as they can be quite incredible. Surviving scapegoating and abuse is so important. More important than our fixation on darkness.
ОтветитьWhat does it say about a person who decides to put 2 unlit bald guys on a stage?
ОтветитьHere in America, we seem to be leading the charge in normalizing psychopathy.
ОтветитьScientologists are not the people to speak to mental health.
ОтветитьModern human society is creating psychopaths every day, people are not born psychopaths they are changed into them.
ОтветитьNone of these are a disorder
The presupposition is that there is an "order" that a human mind should have
There isn't, there's just infinite permutations that you can programme the mind
Music and sound effects are too loud.
ОтветитьBeing human is a mental disorder.
Ответить🙄What a waste of time, couldn’t bear this 💩
Ответитьwhat a great story teller
Ответить... I see why you wouldn't go to meet at a bar. I think it was a rational "normal" decision.
Everyone gets to be themselves however the ones that create harm for others are not "normal" The behaviour is your guide. (Who needs it right). Good on you.
Loved the talk. HATED the background distractions😮
ОтветитьExcellent storytelling (besides other things)
ОтветитьI am 46 and I’ve always felt different but I can’t put my finger on what it is .
I was tested by psychiatrists and I can’t open up completely for them to diagnose me . Did it as much as I could . I am suffering after narcissistic abuse , cancer and divorce .
2025 here. Talk about psycho/sociopaths being in charge. We are so f*cked!
ОтветитьAnd that is how you become President of the United States.
ОтветитьThe sound effects are taking away from the experience.
ОтветитьThe music is distracting.
Ответить"Any time he said something kind of normal, like he held a knife to his ex-wife and said he always wanted to know what human flesh tastes like"
what was that last one
My neighbour developed schizophrenia at about 16 and ended up in secure mental unit she was a slight young lady then , she died at 28 as a size 28 with all teeth gone.
ОтветитьWhat’s with all the weird sound effects
ОтветитьDisappointing conclusion, I felt. I know that was almost the point, but still, disappointing.
ОтветитьFaltou bastante estudo desse cara para falar tanta merda
ОтветитьHitler was a non smoking, vegetarian, dog lover who enjoyed painting. Oh and a homicidal psychopath but you're right, we must get past that to find the better parts
ОтветитьI would have gone to the bar... a free drink is a free drink.
ОтветитьIltimos jonli jonli dadil gapirin abutrentladi asabini chiqarmasdan
ОтветитьGood presentation. To answer your question, you did the right thing not to go have a drink at a bar with him. He was probably still on parole and probably had a condition placed on him to stay away from bars. So, you should have met him for a cup of tea, in a busy restaurant, during daytime hours….
Ответитьin an insane world, the best defense is to become insane.
ОтветитьIs it creepy that he said "like someone out of the apprentice".
ОтветитьFrom Germany: coming across this 12 years later, and doesn't the mid-part of this fit a certain American president that will be sworn in three days from now - IM it fits him to a "T" ... 😢
ОтветитьThis is a piece by a journalist -- not a medical professional -- detailing his own personal and highly unscientific questioning of psychology and psychiatry. How do we decide if his reasoning is trustworthy? Well, he says he diagnosed himself with several diseases using a book, the first source he sought out is widely recognized as a fringe group at BEST and a cult at worst whose opinions are the direct opposite of most industrialized countries' highest medical authorities. The second source he sites is a convicted criminal's who he is introduced to by a member of an organization that has been linked to the deaths of its members by denying them treatment for mental health disorders.
He has a lot of drawings, plenty of attempted jokes, and very little to say about the people who HAVEN'T been convicted of crimes and whose lives have been improved and even saved by mental health care.
This perpetuates stigma, and it has no place in TED talks. This is a journalist who went to an extremist group, followed the most harmful stigma about mental illness straight to a place for violent criminals, followed that to the most sensationalized mental health condition that isn't even in the most recent DSM (sociopathy), had some highly unprofessional visual aids, and went for some laughs and truly crude conclusions.
Leftie.... Corporate greed is good. Everyone should be greedy. Feed or die, swim or sink. Empathy is for the weak.
ОтветитьSorry but pschopathy isn't where you're more likely to find pseudo-humanity, because that is their game, not what we typically consider the genuine humanity in a person. I think if he takes you out for drinks then he may want to meet your wife next. Having empathy for the plight of one who would have none for you would be foolish, certainly for those who so often demonstrate a sense of entitlment which they wouldn't afford others if the situation were reversed. Be the frog to their scorpion and such naive ideals regarding an evolved society may well die with you. That's really getting us somewhere. There is more than ample reason I and many others believe the dark triad is the source for the majority of human suffering and they will ever be a bulwark to your ideas of a compassionate utopia. Seems awfully self-defeating and why we'll continue to suffer for them, spreading trauma and causing further mental health issues ad infinitum. Society continues to sicken for their sake, meanwhile if they feel hindered by you, they wouldn't hesitate to deal with you and you aren't teaching them anything by example. They probably think their advocates are blind fools and cattle, are they wrong? I've been led to believe that psychopathy is a personality disorder, not a mental illness per se. An egosyntonic personality disorder, which basically means that it's everyone else's problem, not theirs. The dynamic between one who behaves like a predator and one who supports the role of acting as prey is quite interesting though.
ОтветитьAm I the only one who can hardly get through this video due to the sound effects? It makes it hard for me to distinguish what he's saying
ОтветитьRobert Hare is quack, for real. I've looked into "spotting". It's a joke. He only studied criminals, but he's got a monopoly on the research topic.
ОтветитьSo, socialism/ communism keeps psychopaths in check?? 😂
ОтветитьBloke giving talk sounds like a psychopath 😂
ОтветитьIt's a relief to know that there's people out there noticing this... I had the same problem with my ASD diagnosis. My evaluator was quickly convinced that I was autistic, so even I showed atypical traits for a person on the Spectrum, she tried to fit everything about me inside a box of autistic traits, exactly like that mentallity that Mr. Ronson illustrated.
Ответитьthanks for talking about how not all psychopaths are murderers. how about you stop flogging tony as a story on your ted talks, while telling him to piss off in your personal life then. get that it's part of your "maybe it made me a bit psychopathic" thing, but that's not how it works. leave tony alone.
ОтветитьObviously you dont drink with Tony. Tony needs to stay out of bars.
ОтветитьIt's okay, but really put off by the distracting "music" playing underneath the speaker.
ОтветитьScientology is a cult, never forget that or the countless victims who were abused and kept prisoner by this dangerous cult.
ОтветитьPsychiatry is a shameless con. The pharmaceutical industry is getting paid though.
Ответить
