Sounds like you are running out of air inside the garage. Not sure if temp differential inside-to-outside is too great there or whether this provides enough added air volume fast enough, but our new house was struggling until we figured out that one of the contractors had disconnected the line to the ERV (energy recovery ventilation) from power in the wall. Once we found that and got it fixed, it was literally a breath of fresh air. Heat flow and vapor management was 100% better. The house was just too sealed up without it.
ОтветитьIf you put the adhesive on in doughnuts they act like suckers, been doing it for 30 years!
ОтветитьThe light show was gorgeous! How fast was it sped up?
ОтветитьForgive my lack of knowledge, but diesel stored outside, rubber pipes, in sub zero temperatures???
ОтветитьGeweldig, nu moeten we weer een week wachten , bedankt we hebben weer genoten
ОтветитьHow is this channel not sponsored by Home Depot? It’s the best diy channel out right now.
ОтветитьYall are my favorite off grid show to watch thank you both
ОтветитьGood job😍😍😍😍
ОтветитьD'you know? You two are an inspiration in so many ways. Eric's problem-solving skills and the two of you being slightly perfectionist (can you be 'slightly perfectionist'?) combine well with your skills and personalities to help you in your genuine team approach to everything. It's a joy every time to watch you working so well together and making your life so self-sustaining. SO glad you bought that new property to give you the scope to make everything to support your lifestyle. Bless you.
ОтветитьHi Ariel. A little hint to the beginning of this film. Why are birds not allowed to give bread and bread?
Bread kills birds!
During digestion, bread produces acid, which acidifies the digestive system of birds, leading to diarrhoea and other serious diseases, e.g. gastric acidosis or angel wing syndrome, incurable in adult birds, which causes the wings to grow upwards, which makes it difficult to fly and can lead to death.
Seeing how well the drain barrel is working, I wonder if the soil for this property might work for you guys to build a actual root cellar and not end up collapsing or swallowing up the shelving again.
ОтветитьJust amazing how big the moose are!
ОтветитьI am from the UK and you are 1 of my favourite couples on the internet. Your life in Alaska. It's far different than ares in the u. K.
I like the way you're, lasagne. turned out. It looked delicious. And your seed. room. It's looking good too. Just like everything that you turn your hands too. Always looks so good.
I so want what you guys have and am so not prepared to do what it takes to get it….. well done on your life, home, chanel and relationships…. All, no doubt very well deserved!!!! Cheers from Australia. 👌👍🙌
Ответить🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Ответить❤🎉🎉😊😊 love your vlogs always Big fan .love from The Nederlandse. Abby and Anne-louise ,LizzySophie .
Ответитьdust in chickencoop probably from straw and hay particles
ОтветитьWhat is your cats name
ОтветитьJob well done! You might want to put a 6 inch air intake into the generator room - I had to put one in my furnace room...come in through the wall down to floor, put on two 90's and then come back up - that way air warms. Gorgeous northern lights -they have been spectacular. Great video!
ОтветитьIf you used those black rubber buckets they work well in cold climate, because you can bang on the sides and free up the ice and dont have to worry about cracking. Those type buckets would work really well for you instead of using the plastci ones for your compost food items.
ОтветитьGREAT NORTHERN LIGHTS!
ОтветитьEric, we had those light plants at the last place I worked, they were on little trailers with a lightbar that could be raised. We did oil and fuel filter service at 400hrs, fan belts at 1000hrs and air filters as needed. The northern lights were awesome, love your channel.
ОтветитьYour videos always capture the essence of Alaska and your journey in it’s adventures so well!
ОтветитьI saw the Moose come across the road. I thought you had got a horse 🤣
ОтветитьThat lasagna looked beautiful, I’m definitely going to try that…..minus the bear meat unless I can find a koala around here.
ОтветитьAn intake for the wood stove as well as the generator. Says you're doing a great job with air sealing. maybe too good LOL
ОтветитьGreat to see you changed the fuel line if you have issues maybe 3/8 inch fuel will be spot on and don't forget to insulate the fuel from tank to building. The generator though is a game changer for both of you cheers. Australia.
ОтветитьCabbage Lasagna. I'll give that a try. Sounds actually nice
ОтветитьJust a bit from what we do, On all of our diesel engines from generator sets to frac pumps we do a 250 hour service of fuel and air filters. And then at 500 hours they get air, fuel, oil, and oil filters. We consistently hit 20k to 30k hours on engines. I feel like you could definitely stretch the time between services out more if you decided to do so! Oil changes aren't exactly cheap. But it sure is better to do it more often than not often enough! Keep up the great work guys 👍
ОтветитьJummy I'll have some of that lasagna anyday!
ОтветитьLove the animals and the Northern lights. You never disappoint showing us the beauty of Alaska. Getting all those last minute jobs done for winter. You guys are awesome.
ОтветитьThat stoat made my day, love those little monsters.
ОтветитьIn Yugoslavia they made Cabbage Manja. Good stuff.
ОтветитьIs it possible to add a outside air intake to your wood stove?
ОтветитьThank you for those amazing zhots of the northern lights ... I can help noticing that Arielle seems to be taking a less physical role than normal .... no stretching or heavy lifting ... just wondering 🤔
ОтветитьAurora was very nice!
ОтветитьGreat videography, content, and wonderful adventurous couple.
ОтветитьConsistently one of the best videos I watch every week. The camera work and scenery are amazing.
ОтветитьAre you going to insulate the blocks?
ОтветитьLoved seeing Bandit as well, miss seeing Bo and Bandit and think of them throughout your videos. Love how you guys lay it all out there, ask for help and tips and then take the advice. So cool to see technology work in this way as a win win for all of us. We get to see you, we get advice, we get other input and its fun and entertaining along the way. At this point I feel like I MUST comment on every video because they are so good and because I feel like you guys are my friends. Thanks for all you do and teach us. So much LOVE to you both Eric and Arielle. We love you so much. ❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьAnother great video. Stay warm. ❤
ОтветитьYou stored your vegetables in the sewer portal
ОтветитьThat Looks great !!! I bet it tastes great also !!! Love the start of the video with chickens & Bandit !!! All of the wild life there with NORTHERN LIGHTS !!! Had to rest before watching you !!! So I got this one done now LOVED the video !!! Can smell the lasagna there it smells great !!! Plants are going to be growing in that Hot House of yours there !!!
ОтветитьSeeing Bandit on the trail cam brought a tear to my eye. X
ОтветитьI had a whole lot of insulation fitted in my flat this year. The increase in my comfort is amazing. It is not just that it is cooler in summer and warmer in winter, the heat is even so I have no cold spots and, of course, my heating bills dropped like a stone. Insulate, people! It is worth every cent!
ОтветитьOh my gosh guys, your camera shots were amazing of the nature and the insanely beautiful light show plus Bandit ❤️ It’s always such a treat to see your videos. I’m sorry you lost three of your chickens. Pepper is so gorgeous and has the sweetest face, I hope she along with you too are adjusting to your loss. That is so fun that you can feed the birds from your hand. Beautiful video, and well done on all of your projects. ❤️❤️
ОтветитьThat hose is called quick connect
ОтветитьBeen watching for years. Many thanks for sharing the adventures!
ОтветитьAren’t you worried about you fuel turning to jelly in the very cold weather that you can get up there?
ОтветитьReally good vid.
