Are gods just 'big' spirits?

This is kinda what I've always presumed really. Ancestors who acrew personas larger than they had through collective cultural belief.

So Thor say may well have been the collection of people from across generations' actions ascribed to one name. Whether those people's spirits form some gestalt deity or the retelling itself creates a new form, dnno 🤷

Ceredwin kinda holds this with some people seeing her as a witch and some as a goddess.
