similar to the police!
ОтветитьThis is "5 long years"
ОтветитьWhen he sings "I'll always call this home" it's VERY reminiscent of "I'd love to tell you/Stay inside the lines" from No Such Thing... thanks for posting!
Ответитьthis sounds like the demo version of "Home Life"
ОтветитьI'm very thankful the scenario of this song didn't become real for John!
Ответитьthanks for sharing
Ответить"Smell the last of her sweet perfume" is most likely referring to his longtime highschool ex-girlfriend. I theorize that he still cares for her from many interviews stating of how he still has her mind, emails her, but is unable to begin a relationship because she is now married with kids. The song Dear Marie, referring to the same girl and looking for her pictures online. Just a thought! I doubt John will ever publicly reveal this, if it happens to be true
ОтветитьThis is a beautiful song
ОтветитьLove it love it love it thank you thank you I’ve heard the chorus in documentary’s and an interview lol love it
ОтветитьI NEED TABS!!?!!?!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьDoes anyone have this lyrics 🙄
ОтветитьIt seems that one of his favorite bands is The Police, rhythmically and harmonically. In this song you can hear Message in a Bottle's influence 😌👏
ОтветитьDon’t mind me just appreciate all of Johns music here.
Ответить2020 here
ОтветитьBasically nothin' has changed
She explained
We're so happy you're home again
You take the winter
To get back on your feet
Your bed is bein' made
And your father washed the sheets for you
So we talked a while
About all my woes
Their smiles worse than I told you so's
When she said to wash up and get to bed
I knew the freedom I had learned
I'd learn quickly to forget
And nobody understands
And nobody seems to care
'Bout the compromise of a man
Comin' home after five long years
Givin' up after five long years
Unpacked my bags in the livin' room
Smell the last of a sweet perfume
Came from the girl that went with the world that I traded in today
Just to live a safer way
And nobody understands
And nobody seems to care
'Bout the compromise of a man
Comin' home after five long years
Givin' up after five long years
She says you're always welcome here
You'll never be alone
Perhaps that's now my greatest fear
I'll always call this home
This home
irmão como tu achou isso honestamente
