Question: other than driver compatibility, is the Shimano version the same as SRAM? Meaning, are the sprockets the same teeth design? Thanks!

I'm a gram maniac always searching for new ways to lower weight, I now have a full XT groupset except for rotors, starting from buying a XTR cassette, now I've changed my mind, Garbaruk, I'm yours lol 😂

When you were turning the cassette I noticed that the splines don’t run all the way through the inside. Will this cassette dig into the splines on the hub spindle?

Will the gaberuk cassette stay on a 430mm chain stay without falling off or does it have to be more then 430mm?

Garbaruk is an awesome company. They were founded in Kyiv, Ukraine and based there for smth like 8 years. But due to supply chain issues they have relocated the whole team to Krakow, Poland. Glad it happend before war so our drivetrain magicians are safe.

That’s very good to know perhaps maybe I’d like to switch out my 11 speed Shimano XT cassette on my gravel bike, running Shimano GRX 1 x . It’s very heavy.

the issue is not the chainstay length of back peddling chain drop but the chainline itself of crank chainring TAKE NOTE always for that.. if you don't like chain drop you should check the chainline..like in your previous video you don't always pay attention to chainline that is why you always encounter the same proble. since you changed your chainline by 3 mm furhermore you see there is no dropping of chain.. that is the logic.. not on the chainstay length. because rear hubs is boosted it should compensate it to the crank and chainring ring spacing which is contributes to a good chainline... and CHAINLINE IS DIFFERENT FROM CHAINSTAY.. wether how long is your chainstay is as long as you dont know the chainline you will have a chaindrop when back peddalling..someother people put spacers or changed the chainring offset more furher to achieve this CHAINLINE

For me nothing but problems. First problem slipping chain after 300 km of use. Second, noise from alloy spacer inside cassette. Next problem after 2 rides loose locknut.

And teeth numbers seem better too , 10-12-14-16-18-21-24-28-32-37-44-52 , SLX HAS 33-39-45-51 for the high 4 . 👍🏼👍🏼 yes now I want to try lol , and think also why lighter .

Put a Garbaruk cassette, and one of their oval chainrings on mt Ibis Ripmo AF Deore recently. It shifts every bit as smoothly up & down the cassette as the Deore stuff did. It's 247g lighter for the cassette, and 100g lighter for the chainring. Pretty pleased with it so far.

How is the freehub condition when that cassette is used?
Since it secured in only two points it makes me wonder.
An honest opinion pls.

Garabuk is poor, creak, shifting not so good, doesn’t last like sram or Shimano plus poor back up.

I paid $250.00🍁 for an XTR cassette in 2011. It's still on my bike🙆‍♂️😏. For that price, it better have the 4-6/4 Titanium cogs😄

In the long run if this ends up more durable than the other two and performs just as good it will be worth it. I'll wait 5 to 10 years and see if its the go too.

Hi, got some "little" upgrade recently on my Cannondale) First of all - mechanic derailleur NX and shifter NX for - Sram ASX GX, Sram base cassette SX cassette for - Garbaruk 10-52 X01 microspline, chain NX for - sram X01, crankset NX for - GX with a chainring - X01, rear hub shimano 200 for - Shimano MT500. It is amazing how it works together)

Load of crap, Even a child can see the crank is too small and if you have cogs that large for low gearing the small cogs are pointless, Well it`s worse as they will make the chain come off and endless alignment shit

Hyperglide plus shifting is so much smoother.
Why bother?
Running road cassette on my mountain bike , where the gaps between gears are so close.
So good. And light.

Thanks for posting, I didn't realize this was a Polish company. People might not realize it but Poland actually has an incredible amount of world leading precision machining capability. I'll have to check this product out. I'm currently building up a Salsa Blackthorn and looking to shave as much weight as possible. The cassette looks like it's extremely well made. Be curious how it shifts compared to a Shimano XT.

Since you mentioned them, I have been using an 11 speed XD Driver eThirteen 9-46 TRS cassette on my 2016 Salsa XO-1 Bucksaw since the bike was new. The weight savings is amazing. I had to replace the steel bottom half of the cassette at maybe 10000 miles (no joke) with regular chain replacements. Bike currently has about 15000 miles on it and I'm still running the original aluminum large half of the cluster. My only real complaint is they don't shift like Shimano XT and with a SRAM XX1 hollow pin chain they are super noisy at the smaller diameter end of the cluster. Now to be fair, a SRAM XO-1 drivetrain doesn't shift like Shimano XT either.

Have the Garbaruk 11 speed in 10-50t, with the big cog in anodized blue. It replaces a Sram X01. Last week had corresondence with Garbaruk, who with much helpfulness, directed me to a new chainring in 28t, to replace my 32t Sram. Initially, the chain tended to fall off when pedaling backwards while on the big ring. But since then, with a little adjustment, that does not occur. I'd have to say (sorry Sram), but Garbaruk provides a less inexpensive and a much better looking aftermarket alternative to Sram.

Thanks for the review. Here is a tip. We are a quarter of the way through the 21st Century and the bicycle industry is still mixing the very old and obsolete metric system from the last century with the modern SI Metric System that resolves the ambiguity between weight and mass of the old metric system. Gram/kilogram is a unit of Mass NOT weight. Say 'mass' when referencing the unit gram/kilogram. Why does something weigh less on the Moon than on Earth? That''s right because the gravity is less. Weight, therefore, is the product of mass multiplied by acceleration (gravity) and has the unit Newton. You don't torque your parts down to some kilogram-meter value do you? No, it is newton-meter (Torque = weight or force multiplied by distance). 6 kg of mass is still 6 kg of mass on Earth, floating around weightless in space and on the Moon; whereas, the weight of this mass is different at each of these locations. See the difference?

Bought a Garbaruk 48T elliptical chainring for my SRAM 1x mullet road bike. The tooth pattern was too tall, assume it was patterned after their mountain bike chainrings. They advertise "Increased tooth height (+40%) improves chain retention while the bike is shivering and jolting". A total failure, made terrible noise at many chain angles, it was likely never tested on a short chain stay bike. Would like to try but based on my bad experience I wouldn't buy again without much more specific info unless I knew I could easily return.
