A little sneak peak into one of the items in my next Air Dry Clay Christmas video 🏠🏡🏘
ОтветитьThank you so much :) This saves me from having to buy multiple myself, so now I can focus on the ones you recommend based on the test, to try myself. I do prefer water resistance because of those little moments like my partner placing an item on a different surface like in the kitchen and if the kitchen has wet spots, it would be a shame if it's ruined.
ОтветитьI want to seal in a planter pot i made. But am not sure what I can use that is truly waterproof?
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I’m starting today to make Christmas ornaments and this is very helpful to a beginner like me.
ОтветитьAre any of these varnishes waterproof? It wouldn’t be to drink out of, simply for holding water
ОтветитьSo I remember in 4th grade my teacher had us make magnets out of real bagels. She sprayed something on it so it was basically plastic. I’m trying to remember what is was.
ОтветитьAbsolutely loving your videos and I feel so inspired to start modelling with air dry clay. I had thought of making a tea light holder and wondered how these varnishes hold up to heat? Do I need to be careful with any of them? I like the look of the triple thick :)
ОтветитьHi im a newbie to clay sculpures an just starting getting into it i wanted to ask a few questions, would you recommend air dry clay or oven bake clay for faster dry times ? Also after i make my sculptures i will be using acrylic paints to paint them an im going to use the decoart triple thick gloss varnish will be ok to use over the acrylic paint once the paint has dried ? Thanks
ОтветитьI have a big clay bowl (DAS clay) that i want to make into a sink, how can/should i waterproof the inside? If even possible🙏🏼
ОтветитьHi there! Have you ever used the Liquitex glaze for air dry clay? How does it compare with the DAS?
Ответитьwould sweat make it go mushy?
ОтветитьAre any of these food safe? can I use this for cups & bowls?
ОтветитьAfter watching this, I let my air dry clay dry for 72 hours and coated it with Triple Thick. I'm having an issue with the Triple Thick coming up/off on some of my pieces. Any advice? What could be going wrong?
ОтветитьThank you this was very helpful. I have bought so many varnishes and sealants🤦🏼. Was about to get the Das sealant when you first mentioned it, as I didn't know they did one, and then your end result with the water test made me change my mind 😂🙏🏼😊😘
ОтветитьMay i ask, if it also gives stability for the clay? Like a liquid risin?
ОтветитьDoes dust get stuck to all of them???? Pls replyyy
ОтветитьI made an ashtray out of air dry clay. Will it last if I use it after varnishing it?
ОтветитьCan it be glazed without uv light ? Will it just dry normally
ОтветитьThanks a ton for this video. It has been very very helpful ❤
ОтветитьDo you think the triple thick would work if I wanted to make a paint palette for myself? :) I saw you use UV resin, but I am very much a beginner and still don't want to invest with buying resin, but I'd love to have a palette as one of my first projects! Your videos are very helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьDo you think the matte varnish could work on ceramic? Not sure how different ceramic is from air dry clay.
ОтветитьHi! So I live in Cyprus and most of these brands aren’t available here! Are there acrylic varnishes suitable for clay, or do they all seep into the clay? If so what brands would you recommend?❤ (I’m also not comfortable with using resin due to it being toxic!)
ОтветитьWhat do you recommend for dog paw prints on clay? I was told to use a clear acrylic coating to protect it, but there seems to be a lot of options. I want to preserve his paw print without damaging it or leaving brush marks.
ОтветитьThank you for your excellent videos and the lovely pace of your voice is perfect, now I feel ready to do my own projects!
Ответитьoops.. I have been using mod podge.. Is that still okay to use..?
ОтветитьThis was so helpful! But I have a question and I hope you’ll be able to see this 🥹 I am currently using DAS varnish on my air dry clay piece that I’ve just done with DAS clay. What I’ve made is a little box to put jewelry and stuff like that in it, so it consists of a box and then the lid to the box. Do you know if I can varnish the whole lid and the whole box part, or if I shouldn’t varnish where the lid meets the box in case they somehow stick together or if it ruins the varnish? Basically what I mean is if the das varnish is sticky and if it’s ok to rub against another piece that is varnished? I’m really struggling 😖😖 so far I have only varnished the parts where the lid and the box don’t touch just in case it’s not a good idea 😫
ОтветитьAre any of these food safe? Like could I use them to cover a ceramic mug and make it safe to drink out of?
ОтветитьVarnish and seal before or after painting?
ОтветитьI love your videos. You are the best ❤❤❤ cant express it more. Just love this new craft that i am enjoying so much. So looking forward to info. And you are the best , thank you so much ❤❤❤
ОтветитьGreat vid, super helpful!
Is it possible to varnish an air dry clay plate to make it food safe?
Thanks!
Do varnish waterproof??
ОтветитьHi, just wanted to ask if after a coat of acrylic paint and one of these varnish, does the the paint have any peeling? As in those the coats comes off of the clay? Also does the Triple Thick and the Matte Varnish leave any brushes marks at the end?
ОтветитьThank you for this video, I also love how calming your voice is and how thorough in explaining and the water proof demonstration!
Ответитьhi! i’ve been trying to glaze a piece i made but i painted it with oil paint instead of acrylic and i somehow find it isn’t working as expected. It is not giving it a glowy finish but rather darkening the paint and I don’t know if it’s something I’m doing wrong or if it’s because I’m not supposed to use oil paint. Can you help a girl out please? 😭
ОтветитьI just tried duraclear matte varnish on my air dry clay creation. It has caused the acrylic paint to bleed off of my clay!! Anyone have experience with this? What should I do :(
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video💕 im planing on using DAS to make some watercolor palettes, what would you recommend as a sealant for these? They will be repeatedly subjected to water, watercolor paint and washing so i would want to make sure the palette does not soften. I have never used air dry clay, this will be my first go 😊 Thank you🥰
Ответитьcan u use any modpodge?
ОтветитьThank you so much for all this information. It is gonna be so helpful.❤❤❤❤😊
ОтветитьIs this waterproof?
ОтветитьThank you!!!! I needed EXACTLY this comparison
ОтветитьHave you ever made a artist's paint palette with airdry clay. I see others have done but am concerned the watercolor will stain or soak through. Do you have recommendations as to what varnish or finish would be most appropriate? Your instructional videos have been very inspiring :)
ОтветитьCan I use clear nail polish for glaze?
ОтветитьThank you for such an informative video! 😊
ОтветитьWhat sealant do you recommend if you have used watercolour paint instead of acrylic paint to decorate? Tired modge podge on a test piece and like I thought as it's water based it smears the paint so needing options
ОтветитьIf I make things with mud clay then varnish with any of these will it be food safe?please reply ❤
ОтветитьCan we wash them after dried? I want to make coasters . Thanks
ОтветитьCan we use this if we used pastel colours on airdry clay
ОтветитьThank you very much for your tutorial
ОтветитьThanks alot for making things easier for me
ОтветитьBut are they food safe?? I want to make cups for me to drink out of but i didn't see any information in the video about the sealents being food safe
