I was very particular and almost psychotic about my budgeting when I was working my 9-5s because I knew how much money I'd have each month and could efficiently lay everything out but now that I'm self employed I find it so much more stressful and difficult to budget now because I don't know what I'll make until I've made it and it's made me hate it. And it's also one of those where some months I make hundreds more and some I'm way under what I need for the month. But I've made it my goal to figure it out this year 💪💪
ОтветитьI love the buffer tip, we do something similar but have it in a separate checking with an overdraft feature.
ОтветитьI would love to know how to create a buffer.
ОтветитьI would love to see a buffer video! I am a new subscriber and I’m much older than you lol I am trying to get my side hustle going so I can spend the last 5 years of my youngest being at home being more involved and with him! I have always worked long hours and away from home. Thanks!
ОтветитьHey Sara my husband is a car sales man so his income has been variable since we have been married for 7 years now. And we always have had a buffer and it is so much less stressful since I have taken over the budget. I would love for you to talk about buffers. Our main issue is eating out we need to be more intentional about our money in that department. We have enough in our account to pay taxes for the next year and 3 months worth of bills just in case during this crazy COVID time we are in. We are just waiting to go back to normal to start paying things off again. But we are still saving for a vacation that we are planning for next summer. God willing we will be able to take it.
ОтветитьI've been decluttering and selling too! It's not as much as your outdoor set but after making over $100 one day I'm just getting everything that could be sold posted online :) Great way to get rid of stuff too.
I also like being a month ahead. Basically, our June income is what we use for July expenses. Even though we have a pretty consistent income, it's good to know that the money we're spending is actually there. And on that note, we try to keep the spending same even though our income increases. My husband switched jobs earlier with a pay increase this year and I got my yearly merit increase but we put all the increase into savings (we "created" a savings bill - we pay it to our savings account every month). This forces us not to see the money as extra. Thanks for all your budget tips. :)
I’ve had variable income for a while now and it’s best to budget on the lowest monthly income. I look at a monthly average of income and expenses for 6 months to a year. Buffer is a must!
ОтветитьYes to a Buffer video! Also, I am a new subscriber, so I may have missed yes in recent videos, but what does your husband do? I have variable-ish income, but my husband doesn't so its 50/50 for us.
ОтветитьYes buffer video!
ОтветитьGreat tip ...
ОтветитьSince budgeting we are one month ahead on all bills. Helps with my variable income (hubby is salary) I also have a checking account cushions. Definitely makes budgeting less stressful when you do not have to wait for a paycheck to hit account. Love your videos! 😍
ОтветитьBuffer video please!!!
ОтветитьAre you using Facebook to sell your items?
Ответитьwould love a buffer video, i've been struggling trying to build mine up while also building my emergency and general savings!
ОтветитьBuilding a buffer video please
ОтветитьYes I want to hear about building the buffer!
ОтветитьMy biggest tip is to try get a month ahead. That way at the 1st of the month you know exactly what you have to work with for the month.
ОтветитьI’d love to hear a buffer video!
ОтветитьI like the idea of a buffer also. But $5000 is quite a lot. Maybe you could transfer $4000 to a high yield savings account and make some interest. If you need the money to cover bills then you can transfer some money to your checking account then.
ОтветитьYes, buffer video!
ОтветитьBuffer video please!!! 😊
