I like employee ownership. One thing that is supported by data is that people with downs syndrome have a dramatically better quality of life when they can work. The problem is that they also get taken advantage of when they do work. This is where employee ownership comes into play. Factory work isn't very hard. Push a button and carry shit. Work that folks like me with retard strength are well suited for (I really do enjoy lifting things and putting them down).

I'm thinking a textile factory. Owned and operated by my fellow 47's. There obviously needs to be a review process and such to ensure they don't get taken advantage of, but I trust that their parents love them. The company is theirs, the profits are theirs, their parents can make business decisions, but it will be the 47s paying you to make those decisions.


(That idea probably needs some work, but it's in the right direction. Transparency needs to be any component of the plan. It's not about making money, it's about allowing the 47s to be financially independent.)


Anyways work some shit out. I'll invest in anything for 47s. American textile factories are something we don't have. We ain't making clothes, just cloth.

Had a Down syndrome cousin who passed from a tragic incident a year ago. This is my way of coping. Now that she’s gone my dad says her father who abandoned her was ashamed of her. I just want the world to know I am proud to be related and wish I could’ve done more to let her know I love her. Always and forever see you in heaven Alicia Lima don’t forget about me 🙏💕💕

What if all the features are present in newborn however all are negative result In blood test or newborn screening in heart related problems or metabolic problems or even there is no hypotonia.. is it consider as down sysndrome?

My uncle have down syndrome

I worked with them for years. They are precious babies but they become more difficult when they get older. They were very difficult in therapy.

Wow so my teacher has probably mistaken syndromes because she told us that down syndrome people were of low IQ and were child like
And no she didnt say that as a bad thing she said that down syndrome people look like regular people but just with low iq

My little sister have all features :)

I have Down syndrome but i dont have the features above except for the weird, straight line on the palm.

They also have a big space between the big toe and second toe. The M shape in their hands doesn't form which makes grasping a little difficult. They have small openings to the esophagus which can make them choke easily. They often develop kerotaconus in later years requiring a cornea transplant.

I feel bad that people with Down syndrome (as far as the ones that I came across in my life) unknowingly stuck their tongues out frequently. I looked it up & found out that it's a part of having Down Syndrome. Kind of creeped me out & still does.
