Do you need a 4 point lift to make it? Or would a regular 6 inch lift on 33s make it? Thanks.
ОтветитьIt strikes me this was originally created as a horse trail?
ОтветитьIt's truly a shame that these trails exist. Lace up some boots, park your jeep and get out there and actually experience it. Beautiful country spoiled by these roads.
ОтветитьMy Yamaha YXZ would eat that trail for lunch! Its like these Jeep guys try to take as long as possible to drive a trail and say it was so hard!
ОтветитьDid it in my blue 2011 f150 crew cab with a 6’6 box!! Not recommended…
ОтветитьBlack Bear Pass is actually just outside of Telluride...not Ouray.
ОтветитьAfter just driving million dollar highway into Ouray this looks terrifying. Y’all are out of control but more power to you. Wish I had the balls! Lol
ОтветитьYou rock CJ7 guy. These big, long 4 door things they drive. Now are not even jeeps. They're SUV's.
ОтветитьWhy trucks? This would be so much more fun on a dirt bike.
ОтветитьThere's another pass in Colorado that's even more dangerous, and thank goodness most of the locals don't share its location
ОтветитьNo F### Wat, Excellent Job!!
ОтветитьIt's not the pass that is deadly. Like any trail, it's the driver that make it deadly.
ОтветитьMountain biked BBP in the late 80's on bikes that were barely mountain bikes. It was the first week of June and as we got closer to the top we were blocked by a wall of snow probably 12 foot high,. Going up was exhausting but coming back down was truly some scary stuff esp. when you got to the "steps" . We did a lot of walking that day but being in Telluride was worth it. Have fun and be safe, there are lots of things that could go wrong up there and help is a long way off if something goes bad. The Go-pro doesn't do justice to just how steep the pass really is.
ОтветитьO lord, if ever I were to take this road, it'd be on a mule - forget the motor vehicles!
ОтветитьI just saw a vide9 with the local sheriff cautioning people to not be "ass clowns" on this demanding and dangerous road. Nice to see it run properly. As for me, the Million Dollar Highway is hair raising enough.
ОтветитьWe did the Imogen side but saw this side from afar. Was memorable
ОтветитьEek! Beautiful, but not for me. Fun to watch though.
ОтветитьNice video, we have done everything around silverton and over the passes to lake city. We have stayed the last 5 years 14 miles up the trail headed to cinnamon pass. Unfortunately being on atv's we are unable to get to imogene and black bear without moving camp over to that area. It wouldn't take much to reach that side of the highway if they would make a trail to reach the west side.
Ответитьthe local sheriff called y'all a bunch of ''Ass Clowns''
ОтветитьGreat video you guys I think I'll give it a try
ОтветитьCorrection, "3 or 5" point turn. If you do only 4 turns then you missed one and that's really bad on that trail!
ОтветитьBeing afraid of heights is what keeps up alive. That's what rock climbers say, anyway.
ОтветитьI have done Black Bear Pass twice with guides both times...in a Suburban the first time...and a Jeep the 2nd. The guide said that he had driven Clive Cussler, the late novelist on the trail the day before. It is a thrilling trip for sure. I felt like I was in the right seat next to you. This was an excellent video!!!
ОтветитьNice video. I live in Colorado and head to Ouray every summer. This will be my 18th year going over Black Bear with a manual transmission JLUR.
ОтветитьIt is not Black Bear Pass. It is Black Bear Road and the pass is Ingram Pass. This has been butchered to the point that even the official signage is now incorrect. Please help keep the names of the passes correct. It is important.
ОтветитьNever thought Black Bear was all that hard…..
ОтветитьHEY BUDDY ARE YOU LOOKING TO DIE, COME ON MAN
ОтветитьGood video. I'm doing this late July 2023 in my FJ.
ОтветитьCan’t Wait to try it out in my ‘12 Silverado 🤩
ОтветитьI think some trails should only be used with ATVs, this is one.
I actually prefer mud riding in GA.. lol worse thingthat happens is you get stuck in the mud and get pulled out
NOPE😬🤯
ОтветитьI did it when I was a little kid in a 62 Jeep panel delivery with barn doors. I still have it but it needs to be restored. I think the wheel base is shorter than most of the new Jeeps.
ОтветитьLooks like a fantastic track , I’m from Victoria Australia and it reminds me of the Victorian High Country. In Australia authorities close our roads over winter due to track erosion and being super dangerous. Thanks for a great video and greetings from Australia. 🇦🇺👍
ОтветитьWow Awesome one
ОтветитьI've done this pass in a cj7 many times BTW never had to back up or adjust buttons.
ОтветитьJeeping is my favorite thing to do when we go to the mountains. I'd love to do this pass but probably will settle for videos. Its a scary one for sure. Loved the video. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьNot brave enough to do this
ОтветитьThis is a great video. We live 4 min from sand hollow state park
ОтветитьHello from Greeley! Awesome video! I’m not afraid of heights, but when traveling through the mountains my anxiety goes to 100 on tight roads like these.
ОтветитьAWESOME video man! I’m heading out to CO in August, this is on my to-do!
ОтветитьLOVE JEEP RIDING WITH ALL MY HEART
Ответить🎼🎶 "So, we took up off on the highway, and we come upon a sign says 'Black Bear Road, you don't hafta be crazy to drive this road, But it helps' ...🎵"
C.W. McCall
That road looks like a whole bunch of Z's and W's all strung together.
ОтветитьI've lost a lot of nerve the older I've gotten....I better do this soon! Lol. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьMy hands were soaking wet watching this! Nice job🇺🇸🤟🏻
ОтветитьGreat video. Funny how BBP is often listed as Ouray since it connects Red Mountain Pass to Telluride. BBP is not even located in the same county as Ouray.
ОтветитьSo it's possible to go to the summit and back down without taking the "steps" correct? Just not comfortable with that yet. Side by side, yes.....jeep, no.....lol
ОтветитьGreat video. Loved the narration.
ОтветитьLove this trail. I have driven manuals most of my life, but this is one trail where I do not miss it since buying my Bronco. 😵💫
