It's not the governments job to administer and govern religious communities. Shame on Hindus for losing that ability to Social Self Governance. Because Socialism destoryed thousands of years of Hindu Civilisation in the name.of social justice. No government has personal interest in Hindu community because it is afarid of getting called Hindutvawadi.

Instead Hindus like in ancient times appoint learned scholars like we had Brahmin Purohitha for each Grama. Each themple had lands which earned revenue for the temple and the community to keep the tradition going.

It's really sad to see this wonderful master piece in such sheer neglect. Hoysalas, Gangas, Chalukyas, kadambas have been the preservers of Karnataka culture and art.
Henge hodre, these won't last another 800 years.

When a small village is having this kind of magnificent structure 800 years ago, just imagine the greatness and grandeur of hoysala kings..So magnanimous to build such eternal structure..really unbelievable..

There is one old Jain Basadi also in Basaralu. This was not known nicely high lighted.
