I have to disagree on "tcp guarantees data delivery". Supposedly, assuming we have only one routing path, and for some reason it goes non functional. That fails the guarantee. Udp is more like fire and forget.
Tcp does provide confirmation on data delivery which is mostly miss translated to guarantee.

This is a bit biased against udp... like it's a massively usefull protocol and your just showing it as a way of destroying a computer
