The second story I wsnt to tell is about a guy I dated. I absolutely adored him. He seemed like a nice man. He always played sounds of nature (rain, ocean) at night. How lovely, I thought, and told him how I love sleeping with sounds, hhow I feel at home with him everywhere, and I told him about this video that helped me sleep. He refused to hear it, blaming it on his voice opetated sound system. But really, after I tried enough times on different devices, I realized he just refused to play it. It made no sense, so I was wondering of it was something about me that made him not want to hear it. Some time later, he was lying down to rest and played some similar music, but with an Indian twist, which he said at some point made him think of an ex girlfriend. I liked it. I tried again to say:"If you like that, you really should hear this one. Let me play it for you." He refused again.

Six months into the relationship, I finally put multiple events like these and some much worse, including his now near constant undermining of me together, and realized he's behaving like a covert narcissist. He couldn't stand even hear a single beautiful song, one that so many of you heard and love, just because it wasn't his suggestion. If it wasn't about him 100%, he couldn't allow it. How sad.

How sad that I had to leave. I still think that if he weren't as danaged, we would have been the best match for each other. Emotional health was more important, not to mention that it became clear to me that he can't love me.

I am so pleased that this video helped so many with sleep. It certainly helped me, for years
I would hug myself and imagine being a baby in my mothers arms (or sometimes that mother) in a teepee or a long house, and this is what I hear.

I looked through many before I came to it. It's the most real and not kitschy.

I played a different version of this and the second I heard the flute began to play I felt like I was back at my Blood Brothers home. He is an Apache and invited me to his house on the Rez and tbh I felt like I belong there and felt the utmost peace it was the same feeling wen I was abandoned in the mountains as a child and was raised by Wolves. I miss my pack and my Wolf mother. He family who I barely met somehow knew. To this day I'll still never figure out how they knew of my past. I miss them as well.
