My SIL introduced me to broccoli salad years ago. Her recipe similar, but add slivered carrot, small pink or red beans, small cubed extra sharp cheddar, and dried cranberry or cherry. Just a bit of mayo with rice vinegar.

How to pronounce 고추장: go-chew-jahng. I have also heard ko-chew-jahng. Most times, Koreans pronounce ㄱ as 'g' when it begins a syllable, but they also pronounce it as 'k' quite often. IMO they do not hear the difference. Koreans always pronounce ㄱ as 'k' when it ends a syllable. Except for cases when they pronounce it as 'ng' but that gets us into how morphology changes phonology in Korean, and we don't wanna go there.

The broccoli salad in one of my favorites! I make it often and actually made it today right before getting this notification lol. I make it low carb/keto by subbing erythritol for the sugar and using Dukes mayo because Dukes has zero sugar. It always hits the spot 😋😋😋😋
