He uses pidgen Yiddish! That was funny. Does he know it's Yiddish? A lot of NYC words are from that language.
ОтветитьLove Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches ~ I sometimes use bakery bread & tropical jellies ~ hot chocolate over ice to drink ~ Yay ~ a cozy movie 🎥
Heavenly ☺️
Fresh ground peanuts are so much better than the jars with added sugar and gunk though. There was a grocery store I used to go to that had a peanut grinder yum!
ОтветитьWhen I was living in Italy some 20 years ago, PB was hard to come by, so I used a 1990s Braun coffee grinder to grind peanuts into the paste and it totally worked. I've tried it since with both a spice grinder and a small food processor. Neither has worked; I end up with greasy peanut powder.
If you are new to PBJ, see if you can find concord grape jelly and use a white bread (French baguette is wonderful). This is the iconic flavor. Very distinct from other jams.
My dude went from gringo to possesed by a Spanish ghost lol
ОтветитьI’m one of those who think PB&J is an abomination. 😂 I’ve spent 20 years in the US and to this date i can firmly say I do not like that combination. Perhaps it’s the English in me.
To be clear I love peanut butter (crunchy only) and I love jam but PB&J sandwich? Nope.
pb&j is basically cake
Ответитьmrs. crab apple
ОтветитьRIP your coffee grinder
Ответитьif you mute the video, Max looks likes he's running at 2x speed.
ОтветитьNeurotypicals can keep Barney the Dinosaur singing “Peanuuuut, peanut butter, and JELLY!”… we autistic folks can take the long-form version - which is the second half of this video. 😂🫶🏻
ОтветитьJust now saw this and want to say, another great and informative video! I especially enjoyed a previous video you did on JFK's last meal! Great work. man!
ОтветитьCurrants grow wild all over, here in Colorado. They make great jelly! Golden currants are the best for this.
ОтветитьLOL, I miss the cold, smushed cafeteria pb&j so much as well. Last time I made one I put it in a ziplock bag and in the fridge for an hour before eating it 😂😂
ОтветитьI still remember those peanut butter sandwich and tomatoes soup, School lunches from the 1950s. The combination of the two did a strange thing to the roof of my mouth every time I ate it. It made it corrugated for a little while and very uncomfortable. It took me many years to figure out why it did that. It was the combination of the peanut butter and tomato soup. Perhaps I'm the only one that happened to but it's a unpleasant Memory that I will never forget.
ОтветитьThis channel has a resl homely feeling 🔥😂
ОтветитьI made one because of this video. Fucking love pb&j
ОтветитьOmfg yeas
ОтветитьHate pbj, Hate peanuts and peanut butter
ОтветитьAm I surprised that in 1901 PB & J were segregated… no, not really
ОтветитьI always thought this famous food is some mysterious experience I can never replicate because I had no idea what the jelly is. Turns out it's just jam (or marmalade if you are from one of those countries that call jam a marmalade no matter the fruit it's made of, citrusy or not).
ОтветитьButter and jelly on Roll
ОтветитьBlackcurrant is a very popular flavor in Poland for jams, cakes and sweets. Its kind of tangy and sour and yes i have tried it with peanut butter before being Polish American. It was good. Its very easy to find here in Chicago.
ОтветитьI make peanut butter in food processor.
ОтветитьIt must be boysenberry jam! with milk. I t hought the three piece sandwich began with Dagwood. Strange it began at the beginning. Thanks for nice history videos on food.
ОтветитьTakes him almost 17 fkn minutes to make a goddam PB&J
ОтветитьThis is about peanut butter and grape jelly, no one cares about your grandmother's special jam or howyou prefer honey or anything other than grape jelly and peanut butter, sheesh
ОтветитьSooo sliced bread was the greatest thing since wrapped bread.
ОтветитьMy mom used to make us peanut butter sandwiches with butter 🧈 or I should say margarine (land o lakes, of course) on one side and peanut butter on the other. That is the way I still love it today, but I use real butter. But I also love jelly or preserves on it too.😊
ОтветитьGin in a tuna salad... Nah... May I suggest ouzo?
ОтветитьThe yogis would agree .... That meat is a sexual stimulant .... Also causes aggression and restlessness ... That is the reason it is discouraged in India if you are looking to follow the spiritual path.
ОтветитьFun Fact Betty White was older than sliced bread
ОтветитьAn orator wearing an apron.
ОтветитьRemember new jelly is so packed full of chems you won't be at ready in the morning
Ответитьthey didn't have clear plastic wrap in 1901 tho
ОтветитьI've always been a toasted bread with PB and honey kinda guy
ОтветитьI'm dead. Looking for media to watch while I eat my PB&J's, found a video on PB&J's.
Ответитьthe european mind can not comprehend peanut butter and jelly
ОтветитьOn yachts, the fold down 'bunk bed' is called a 'Pullman Bunk' or 'Pullman Bed'. Yacht knowledge for you.
ОтветитьMight just a hot take, but I prefer Almond butter and Jelly over PB&J lol
ОтветитьFood history would not be complete without the pb&j. My personal preference is to slather on some good ole butter butter on each slice of bread and then add the peanut butter and jelly It makes everything so smooth and delicious. If it's going in my lunch box for later, I put peanut butter on both pieces of bread before adding the jelly.
Ответить"PEANUTS, in ya face!*
ОтветитьTo borrow from 'Modern Family', I'm assuming by 'PB&J' that we're not talking about pear, Brie, and jambon (which I actually tried, and it was AWESOME)...
I'm a 'natural' chunky PB guy and I prefer low sugar jam or preserves over jelly. PB&Js are breakfast, most days.
I am always so amazed at how many different pokemon plushies you have!!
ОтветитьMax's videos are great cause you get a history lesson, a cooking lesson, and a vocabulary lesson all in one
ОтветитьThe videos are interesting but the contrived vocal affectation is really awful. I’ll be skipping these next time, no matter how interesting.
Ответитьweird ass thing to eat but i wanna try it cause ya'll americans allows chow down on it
ОтветитьI bet when PB&J first came out, it would have been crime to combine the two.
