LMX è l'acronimo di Linea Moderna Executive
ОтветитьBellissima!!! Madonna chissà a quanti milioni le vendono.
ОтветитьThis is one of the few times I can say, "I've never heard of this car or it's company"...I love when I can say I've learned something new, and I have you to thank for this interesting new information..🤝
ОтветитьVery pretty car. Could that v6 be 3Ltr?
ОтветитьI’ve been a fan of the little LMX coupe for quite some time. It’s worth mentioning that it appears the car was never really called the LMX Sirex, but was instead branded as the LMX 2300 HSC Coupe initially and later branded as a Sirex after the initial venture failed. The most interesting question for me is why the powers that be at LMX weren’t fitting these cars with the cheaper and ubiquitous 302ci Windsor V-8 rather than the relatively expensive and surprisingly heavy Cologne V-6. There is virtually zero weight difference between a Cologne V-6 and a Windsor V-8 and the small Ford V-8 would seem to be an easy fit here given the ample space around the V-6 in the chassis. By the early 1970’s, had the venture lasted, they could have been fitting these with the Boss 351 and they would have really had something to show off.
ОтветитьSuch a shame that it got the anemic Ford V6, it would’ve been so much more fun with the engine from the Ferrari Dino or the 3.0 Litre Maserati from the Citroën SM. Perhaps even a Chrysler Hemi, like was used in the Jensen Interceptor.
ОтветитьIt reminds me of a Triumph Spitfire.
ОтветитьInteresting Matteo. Never heard of this gem before, but it shows that even in the late 1960's people dreamed they could launch a car into the ever increasingly secular car market. Where are the dreamers today!
ОтветитьBeautiful design that deserved better. Viva Alfa Romeo!
ОтветитьWhere is the exhibition of this car? Looks like something to visit soon ;-)
ОтветитьThe front end treatment reminded me of Serra's Dodge 3700 Boulevard, unveiled a couple of years later, and also fiberglass-bodied. The LMX, however, was less constrained by its technical package, and thus looks way more sexy.
ОтветитьIndeed 👍 Also I’m good informed in cars, I didn‘t knew that such a beautiful car exist 😂✌️Italien Design rules ☝️✌️👍🇮🇹😎
ОтветитьYet another video with great content. Learned something new today! Thank you Matteo for sharing and looking forward to your next upload!
ОтветитьI didn't know it's existence. Quite good design. I like the front mask with the lights & the back. Really good.
ОтветитьYou Videos are a great! Entertaining and educational at the same time an well edited! I would love to see a Video of the History of the Iso Rivolta car company. Looking forward to the next video of yours like always!👍 😊
ОтветитьAnother unfortunate company to fail. Such a shame as this vehicle looks stunning. The tail , to me, has a Corvette styling. And the nose design is very creative and attractive with those headlights.
ОтветитьI don't know what I think really. I can see a lot of aesthetics that appeal to me but at the same time the proportions feels off somehow.
ОтветитьVery attractive design. The convertible definitely has hints of Camaro about it.
ОтветитьI see many design elements from Detroit. LMX is like a love child between a Corvette and Camaro. Hint of Javelin and Mustang too.
ОтветитьWe love all italian cars. Of course we know that it existed 😊
ОтветитьI believe that your next video should be about Moretti motors ,they made some beautiful cars based on Fiat ,and that a mega topic should be what is the legacy of Gianni Agnelli now that is almost 20 years after his death .
ОтветитьI only found about this car recently. I’m a bit divided on the styling - it reminds me of a Matchbox Superfast die cast car from my childhood…….
ОтветитьFiberglass body’s!!!
ОтветитьBravo Matteo... Automoto ha fatto un simile servizio con un giorno di ritardo 😂👍🏻
ОтветитьMe recuerda al Dodge Boulebard del carrocero español Serra. Tiene también toques de Corvette y Camaro, pero con personalidad propia.
ОтветитьA handsome car, and before you even said it, when you showed that front quarter angle, I thought, "Camaro". I love that front end.
ОтветитьAlmost like a mini American Motors AMX with a hint of European flare. I like it.
ОтветитьGreat Matteo
I would say that at this point you have introduced us to the theme and we are ready for the slightly less known pearls of the Italian motoring necklace, such as Bizzarrini, Intermeccanica, ASA, Serenissima!
Well, you've got me here. After a dissipated youth binge-reading car magazines, I've never heard of LMX. I feel that even if the liquidity had lasted, the car, although very pretty and well engineered, still looks too American for European tastes, so would not have sold very well anyway. Double or quit, I can offer you Intermeccanica as an unknown exotic. My favourite would be the Indra.
ОтветитьLooks like a Camaro ! Front lights Fiat 130 ? I must admit, never heard of this car ever before . Expected a USA Ford V8 , very surprised to find euro spec Ford V6.
ОтветитьYou're absolutely correct, I've never heard of the LMX Sirex. I would have certainly remembered seeing such a beautiful car.
ОтветитьThank you Matteo,
The car looks like a cross between
AMC javelin and an Opal GT
Very interesting video about an equally interesting car. Too bad the company did not make it, it seems they could have gone far ...
ОтветитьI like the front mask and corner "bumpers", but overall it feels like a fake Corvette you'd get in a Grand Theft Auto game. Interesting story though.
ОтветитьCaspita, questa non la conoscevo proprio! 👍🏻
ОтветитьWow, very interesting. The front end slighltly reminds me of the Peugeot 504 Coupe. Thank you very much! Ciao 🙋♂️
ОтветитьReally fine design. Deserved more success. Interesting story again, Matteo.
ОтветитьThank-you Matteo for making me aware of this breathtakingly beautiful car .....
I see the American vibes but also a hint of Michelotti...ie Stag or Spitfire ...
Wow.... I'd never heard of this. Never heard of the company. Never heard of the car. It is fascinating but I can see why it may have failed.
It is somehow a mix of Reliant, Lotus and TVR models of the late sixties, but lacks the X Factor that all those firms' models had to a varying degree. There may even be a little Gilbern in there somewhere. Or Marcos. This type of low-volume GRP-bodied small GT was somehow more a British thing than a French or Italian one. This is an intriguing car from a time when things were tricky even for the big, established firms.
Those headlmps scream 504 coupé at me, but I am probably mistaken.
The chromed trims outside the headlamps that aren't sure whether they're quarter bumpers or side strakes are interesting.
But as you say... Ultimately it is all a bit generic and anonymous.
Another good video. Thanks.
Look of Corvette Stingray in a lot of ways, not a bad car to emulate.Pity it didnt succeed.I bet it could shift too👍
ОтветитьThe headlamp and grill arrangement reminds me a little of the Fiat 130 coupe. Other than that though, it's pure pony car. I can't believe I'd never heard of it before today. Thanks!
ОтветитьVery interesting car, but very American as well.
ОтветитьGreat vid, maybe in the near future a vid over the Iso Autoveicoli S.p.A.
ОтветитьCool American Italian look. If Ferrari and Corvette had an illegitimate child.
ОтветитьGood looking car, never heard of until today 👏🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьThanks for this nice contribution
ОтветитьYou should also make a video on the OSI 20m TS which was an italian car built on Ford Taunus P5 platform together with the same köln v6 engine
ОтветитьLooks like a cross between a Firebird, Javelin, and Montreal.
ОтветитьWhich museum is the footage from
