Stromsburg, Nebraska June 20th, 2011 tornado

Video by Mark Dempsey - This tornado was just outside of Stromsburg, NE on June 20th, 2011. An intense surface low straddled the Nebraska/Kansas border. Strangely the first supercells began along the southwest edge of the low and produced some small tornadoes. Those storms became messy really quick, though and so we traveled east to the eastern edge and suddenly several small funnels appeared and then this baby. It was on the ground for in upwards of a half an hour! Tore through the trains in the area and took the roof off a house.
