Here's Why The 2019 Toyota RAV4 Is the Best Compact SUV

I know I’m late to this but it’s literally the most reliable car currently for sale and you give it a 6 for quality? Then you spend the entire tech portion jerking it off for all the features then give it a 6 there too

The 4th gen and 5th gen Rav4's share the same engine displacement but the engines are not the same at all. Totally different engine code.

Still No. #1 reliable SUV I gonna buy it today.

performance bar is too high. Most people aren't in the market for supercars. saying 1/10 for rav4's performance is a bit dishonest. It's decent for cars on average.

Why no new SUV's have rear glass that pops open is dumb.

My brother was going to get a Camry & I convinced him to get one of these instead. Basically the same thing underneath but the Rav4 gives you so much more room, very important since he has 2 kids. I felt cramped in the back of the Camry we test drove, he agreed & went for the Rav4.

drove this last month and I got to say, the smoothness of the power steering is immaculate, I'm midway through the review so I don't know if Doug touched on this later on, but in case he didn't just know that considering all the features and general drivability this is a great suv/car (however you think of it).

Toyota Philippines did something unbelievable to the RAV4 before the 2022 facelift.

Toyota removed TSS, Blind Spot Monitor, Hybrid trims, AWD, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto from all 2019-2021 RAV4s. All of these models had to make do with an aftermarket 7" AVT touchscreen.

Here's why I'd never buy a new Toyota! I don't want a monthly subscription to my Key fob. Used I'll buy or if some after market Co. can take over the system. I stick with Honda for now, they're not as greedy for now.

That is not the same engine,only the displacement is the same.

Its unfortunate that the 2019 version of RAV4 is not as reliable, in fact one of the most unreliable of the RAV4. SInce reliability is kinda the point of buying the RAV4s this is a big deal, the 2019 versions are therefore going significantly lower than others, at least where I live, the 2018 RAV4 are almost the same price to the 2019 already, despite the style differences, etc. I think this one looks nice, nicer than the previous generation.

seems no crossover come close to the rav 4. maybe only the mazda cx5, been looking for a boring new car for me and my family and only rav4 seems to be the one with the biggest engine 😂

Honestly this vehicle is so damm ugly, I would never buy one, I really think the 2015 was the best one ever made !!

Does anyone else think the new RAV4 looks like a Pontiac Aztec? And that some influence from Breaking Bad might be why?

Of course Ford has no brains and can not come with their own ideas and had to copy the tail lights for the newer Ford Scape.

I am about to spend 22-26k on a certified pre-owned as soon as one of many dealerships I called tells me they got the right fit.
Some of these comments are freaking me out. I’ve had my heart set in the 2019 RAV4 for 3 years.
It’s either that or the Honda CRV.

Toyota engine very relaible and efficent yes...but interior is boring and looks cheap in everyway....the steering wheel is same for all toyota models....steering wheel has no 2 tone border....dashboard material cheap plastic finish...nothing looks premium....and hybrid model comes only with a cvt transmission...which is not a fun to drive transmission at all
