My town is raining and I don’t think it’s gonna be flooded

I experienced it and all I have to say is wow prayers to the people who lost there home and that died❤️❤️

Westfield is in New York.

This is about 15 miles up the valley from me. And it wasn’t just Westfield. Probably half the towns in a 20 mile radius were pretty similar. My town “elkland” got pretty lucky this time around. There was flooding on a couple streets close to the river but not as bad as other places got it.

Oh no! Who could ever have foreseen excess flooding events at near coastal near sea level regions!

I was listening to all this going down on the scanner. The emergency service members were swamped with calls and calls of people being swept away by the water.. I'm over in NJ and if the fire company i volunteered with didn't close down we all would have responded. 🙏
