Add the Torana XU1 and A9X in the second list
ОтветитьW1, never heard of them, nor do I care that they exist.
ОтветитьHey so I'm a fan of your channel but I've been looking for a car an extremely reliable one I can't sacrifice the reliability but I can choose between all the ford falcon and the Holden cars since they aren't in my country , especially with minimal information on these I can't know the best one between the v8s or just the bearers. I'm in Africa Kenya and Even though I'm looking for a lasting car because for me I definitely don't want to sacrifice longevity even though the bearers or the v8s still have good performance I don't want to sacrifice reliability since I'm in Africa and the conditions are somewhat similar to Australia where the land cruiser dominates but I'm not into the SUVs since I'm young so if you could really help I'll be glad . Ooh and the mods I'll be running are maybe the suspension mods wheels breaks and maybe stuff to support the turbo to make it more reliable , and out of these if there is a wagon in there I would not mind
ОтветитьGood to see the Ralliart Magna on the list. 👌
ОтветитьE49 R/T chrysler charger
ОтветитьDefinitely agree on Magna
Had 1 n Loved it
Though this video is old, Sean on Moroting Box has been fixing up a Magna Ralliart. He's done a bloody good job so far.
ОтветитьVL Walky is the best HSV ever
ОтветитьThe xr gt and lj xu1 are the 2 cars better than all the others except for the mk2 cooper s and lotus cortina
ОтветитьMy only problem with Oz performance cars was the size of the things they are enormous and heavy falcons and commodores
ОтветитьWow i thought you were kiwi. An Adelaidian?
ОтветитьI'm glad I've seen the best of Australian motoring, form 1999 to 2012... Todays car choice for under $40k is horrendous and for HSV GTS that in 2010 you could buy brand new for 80-90k, today you need min of 170k.
ОтветитьAnd at #6 we have the almighty VN commodore
ОтветитьLove your channel, content and purpose..fantastic. You deserve a lot of praise for the good job you have been doing
ОтветитьMorris Major Elite????
ОтветитьI always get distracted trying to figure out what tracks the cars are on
ОтветитьPart 2 should include the FPV GTF 351, any FGX Spint and HSV Clubsports
ОтветитьYeah, stuff that
This is how is should be: fpv territory, ford gto, Mitsubishi, group a vl, gtsr w1
An awesome list for some Australian greats
ОтветитьRecount the V8 race wins,Bathurst wins and championship wins by Holden.
ОтветитьWould have loved to see the final fgx falcon xr8 sprint
ОтветитьIf they are the top five I’ll bite my arse. 😹 Two of five.
ОтветитьFabulous, thank you!
ОтветитьWhere's the A9X that led from start to finish in the 1979 Bathurst and was as strong at the finish as at the start.
ОтветитьShit i hate this had an XW 351, and an XA 351. That's a wrap.
ОтветитьLeyland P76
ОтветитьNo Camira or ford capri
Ответить5.7L Cleveland? Been known as the 5.8L 351cc donk since 1971 ;)
ОтветитьAmazing video, well set example of these icons!
Was expecting to see a Hilux or some bogan-like ute though ahah
Basing your opinion on resale is severely floored, being rare doesn't make it good
ОтветитьGreat vid. I was thinking about the XA Phase 4 and bam there it is. Since they were banned for being "too fast" and there was only four ever made (I think), it has to be very near the top of the list. RIP Australian designed and built.
ОтветитьBolwell Nagari, 351, 4-speed, factory built coupe or convertible, or, home build kit with whatever engine you wanted to use... 1969 to 1974. I think of them as Australia's Corvette.
ОтветитьOnly one REAL car, in there, the last one!! 👍👍
ОтветитьSitting here and sobbing a little bit because no VK...Good video though.
ОтветитьCan confirm some VL SS Group A's were converted to a standard Calais style body (keeping the wheels and bonnet thingy), saw a few when doing work experience at Sutton's Holden in Arncliffe NSW in 88.
Also, the locally developed Magna with all wheel drive was awesome to drive as was the Aurion TRD.
Valiant Charger
ОтветитьMagna, really? All Torana's need to be on the next video. From the LC GTR up.
ОтветитьI own a 1980 CM Chrysler regal V8. Whilst it may not be a memorable classic I feel it’s a great comfortable cruiser that was assembled here in Adelaide! And has quite a few mod cons such as air con, power steering, electric windows, smooth automatic, inertia reel seat belts and radial tuned suspension and a 4 speaker radio cassette player and interior wrapped in satin parchment leather. A bit of a limo really.
ОтветитьThe turning point for Ford finally having a performance car was the EB-ED XR series. The V8 made a welcome return and the XR6 changed the way we looked at the 6 pot. The evolution of the XR6 lead Ford to produce Australia’s best home grown engines ever made ,it’s code name was Gull , but everyone affectionately call it ,The Barra turbo.
ОтветитьThe camshafts from the raliart Magna were used in the 380 engine.
Ответить5.7 litre thought they were 5.8 litres but your the expert
ОтветитьHolden GTS-R
Ответитьthis is shit like a suv like it might look good on paper but its still a shit suv like you got the ford FG faclon but you chose a suv and the magna they where known to be the biggest shit box ever made again they look good on paper but there shit surprise you didn't put the Leyland p76 on there. you didn't even put valiant on that list the car that won almost every street race in production form and the 245/265 that set the new standard for the fastest inline 6 from the 70s all the way up the the BA faclon with the barra.
ОтветитьI wanna have a touch brah.
Ответитьthere is no aussie car they were all built by multi national corporations, watching pathetic attempts at aussie cultural identity is cringingly creepy, aussie 'culture' is second hand and second rate.
ОтветитьGTR XU1
ОтветитьGreat video. 👍 only my opinion but the phase 3 is sooo over rated. Sorry. Poor handling, unreliable and poor brakes. Just to mention a couple of my thoughts. Now for the flack 🤣
ОтветитьAussie cars are shit
ОтветитьGTR-XU1 ,, XY GT351 ,, VALIANT CHANGER ,, SLR 5000 , GROUP A COMMODORE ,, these are australia's best cars of all time ,
ОтветитьAsking price and selling price two different things
Ответить
