Right after building a gunpowder farm we blew up everything and started a war

the biggest problem is claims

Me who wants to play on a private server but.....

me and my friends had a world on playstation and it ended because we maxed out the storage

only smps and minigame servers? so what about anarchy are we forgotten?

What about all the other servers that aren't Minigames servers or SMP's?

Me and my friends at my old school bypassed this bordem to play minecraft. So at the start, things went the way you said it BUT the reason we keep playing it is because we just have the love to build, i love building farms, my friend loves making insane huge builds and my other friend just loves making the server a better place like he grinds for beacons and makes ice highways and even gives new players full dismond with maxed enchants and my other friend who just loves exploring and raiding mansions, ancient cities and so on. This is why we play minecraft almost every day despite having maxed pretty much everything.
Edit: There are roughly 10 players on our server who play the game everyday. There are 25 in the server though, they don't play minecraft anymore because they haven't yet found what they love to do in the game.

No one can tell you what you can or cannot do (only in single player worlds)

That's why I never bothered to learn mob grinders or automatic farms.

People play minecraft as fast as possible. They make mob farms, and xp farms and rush to get netherite tools and armor. Try just going slow. Dont make big farms that give you everything you need, with unlimited supplies of it, and just play the game as it is. And go slow. It can be really fun when you arent over powered :)

I was just thinking about this today actually. I’ve been on a Minecraft binge, and I was thinking kind of about my game plan for the world, and I’m sitting there like “I wanna wait to get netherite until I beat the dragon and get the elytra” but then I thought “well why do I need netherite if I already ‘finished the game’” so then I thought “ok I’ll get netherite armor first then fight the dragon, but wait then why do I need the elytra if I already have the best stuff and I’m ‘done’” and anyways those thoughts kept happening. I came to the conclusion that I like Minecraft, I like the “progression” and everything, and I like that you can take that progression as fast or slow as you want, but I feel like there needs to be another big goal after beating the ender dragon otherwise people like me will think a lot of the cool aspects of the game are pointless because we already “beat the game.” One thing I came up with was locking the wither as a boss to the nether, so you have to summon and fight it in the nether, and once you beat it, bastions unlock so you can now craft netherite tools/armor. Without beating the wither, bastions are locked. But then there needs to be a purpose to getting that armor, but obv you could do the wither first then the dragon or vice versa so yea idk I feel like we need more progression/goals.

I usually ban the use of farms (with some exceptions), mending (Recently changed), and elytras so my friends have to find a creative way to harvest resources, and travel. And my SMP has lasted 8 months longer than it usually does.

Another thing you can do is play any other goddamn game like terraria

I have a friend that I play with a lot.
One thing he constantly does is never build anything. Like at all. He just plops down a wall of furnaces and chests, a crafting table, and a nether portal. Then he grinds endlessly until he gets the perfect enchanted netherite gear. And once he's done that... he quits. That's it, he just gets bored and switches the modpack of the server while I was in the middle of brainstorming and collecting resources for my house. I've stopped trying to actually try when we play together because of exactly this reason. Why try to make a build of your own if it's just going to get shafted in like 2 days anyway?

One time we were joined by 2 others we knew from Discord who wanted to play with us. They had their house setup while me and my friend had this island. And then we got the idea of turning the island into a castle. Won't lie, I got actually motivated. I was making plans to build some awesome rectangular castle walls and towers. I thought that maybe this time, things would be different. But no, he got bored after getting the most overpowered gear again and told me he lost motivation yet again and wanted to switch the modpack. *Sigh.*

This is the reason you should start Hypixel Skyblock, a gigantic game in a server which littelary feels like never ends!

I like to build really nice buildings that’s actually have a purpose like I made a nice looking villager trading hall

But Minecraft SMPS are fun if you add lore into it

Or you can make it a anarchy server and good around with your friends stealing each other's stuff and acting like different prominent rulers from world history.

If you really wanna grind, Terraria is the game for that.

YESSS this is exactly what I mean! I run an SMP with friends who all grind out for two weeks then hop off cuz they get bored while me and my brothers all make impressive builds. They never play Minecraft for what it’s meant to be
