ОтветитьHe didn't mention the Elves ?
ОтветитьHey Buddy
Love the video but a minor mistake you made is #1
Jotunn is singular Jotnar is plural
Great video my friend love the mythology videos keep up the good work
ОтветитьAre you uploading any more videos?
ОтветитьOdin, Thor, and Freyr are the gods that judged the 3 treasures
ОтветитьThat's the book I use for the Norse Mythology class that I teach. It's a great book!
ОтветитьWhat about the Aztec mythology you know is have many gods and Creatures similar of this 🙂
ОтветитьThat would be Odin, Thor and Freyr, interesting choice of judges, considering that Odin got his spear and bracelet, Freyr his ship and Thor got Mjolnor out of that contest, which would not have happened without Loki. So all mighty Thor wouldn’t have ever had his hammer if not for Loki’s trickery!
Ответить👍
ОтветитьWould like to see videos on Freya husband and daughters
ОтветитьLike these videos
ОтветитьLoki, Mamir and Nanni are the 3 treasure gods. This was a great video and I look forward to vowing many more! Thank you. I need that book for my ever growing library on Norse Mythology and Heathenry! I am a very proud Old Crone <to agreed to be called a Sheild Maiden these days lol>
ОтветитьHave you considered doing a sort of "God of the week" type episode where you go into great details in a specific God? Like it would be cool if you could explain the contexts of each God and what they meant for the people who believed in them at the time. Otherwise they remain these tertiary characters that are kinda just cool to look at. Like if you could take one every once and a while and sort of break down their historical, context and their over arching symbolism I think that would be quite interesting. Granted prob a lot more work. People lose the meaning behind all these stories and the lessons these gods are supposed to provide. Granted they're left behind because new religions created better stories but still it would be interesting to see, like if a God was the harbinger of pestilence you could go over perhaps what they would do in times of plague and how they viewed the god malevolently or benevolently. etc. Just an idea :) I use your videos for ideas on trying to create my own literary myths for my book 😋
ОтветитьThe answer to the question is Odin, Thor and freyer. Also the Valkyries remind me of angels due to similar jobs
ОтветитьOdin, Freyr and Thor are the three gods that judged the treasures. Thank you for your awesome videos :)
ОтветитьGood to see the part 2-videos starting to come!

ОтветитьCool video. Video suggestion if your interested.. A video on either slavic gods or Lithuanian gods.

ОтветитьPoor goats with such long name and meat wise
ОтветитьI love these I'm actually a great descendant of King Harold Fare Hair, a descendant of Siegfried Snake In The Eye, the son of Ragnar
ОтветитьAt no point in the sagas, stories or myths are the Jötunn actually said to be 'Giant' in appearance. This is nothing more than a translation.
Reading and comparing the Eddas etc, it's more likely the Jötunn were the same as the gods.
The word 'God' itself is a translation of one of Óðinns many names used by more modern religion, therefore, it's highly likely the Jötunn, the Aesir and the Vanier (which may just be another word for the Aesir the poet's used for rhyming purposes) are all just different 'Clans' of the same species; especially when their ancestors all link back to the same Jötunns.
Odin, Thor and Freyr were the judges of the dwarf contest, I think.
Love the norse myths, Loki is my favorite. Tricksters, man
The Aesir are the judges cuz it’s Odin ,Freyr and Thor judge the gifts between the dwarfs
ОтветитьFrey, Odin, and Thor 💚
ОтветитьOdin, Thor, and Loki.
ОтветитьFrey Thor and odin judged
ОтветитьYay super excited to see this had a pretty two hoping for a part three
Ответить"Nøkken" means "the nøkk" in Norwegian so if you say "the nøkken" it would mean "The the nøkk" 😄 It's nice to see him mentioned here though, as he's quite popular in folklore but often not well known!
ОтветитьAnswer; Odin, Thor & Freyja.
ОтветитьFrej, Odin and Thor were the three gods, as described in to Skaldskaparmål.
ОтветитьDon't really know much about the Norse, so this entry is most useful! 💯 Thanks so much.
ОтветитьI have loved Norse mythology for years, and I still learned about some new creautures from this video, THANKS!
ОтветитьThe three gods who judged the treachures of the dwarves, were Odin, Thor and Frey.
ОтветитьOdin, Thor and Freyja
ОтветитьAwesome!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьThere is a puzzle in God of War (4) that features Skoll and Hati (alone with Mimir telling the story of the two). I have no idea if they will appear for the game or not, but it is something I want to share regardless
