tysm you help me a lot
ОтветитьThat's a great garden!! Looks like a nice way to make sustainable food. Thanks for sharing. 👍
ОтветитьThank you for all of the great resources
ОтветитьThank you so much for continuing to regale us with your aquaponics system. I have been watching you for seven years and have learned so much! My wife and I moved 300 miles north in our state here in the US. I ran my last aquaponics system for six years straight, amazing amount of food due to your tutelage. My system was only 12 x 12, as funds are limited in this day and age, I can’t build the system as big as I would like but we are building a system 15 x 15. I would love to speak to you and send you photos and updates of our progress. Good day mate, I very much look forward to hearing from you and finally getting to know you better. God bless. 🥳🐟🍃🌱
ОтветитьExcellent information Rob, thank you! The self-sustainable lifestyle is the best lifestyle!
Ответитьwhy do you use PVC piping when it is known that PVC is not safe for potable water? won't chemicals leach into the water from PVC and into your plants and fish?
ОтветитьHi Rob, I've got some tips for you if you don't mind! Add some californian earthworms into your grow bed! They are gonna help to clean the top part of your substrate that is not submerged!
Add a few extra barrels to the system to help with filtration! You can place shards of roof tiles made from adode (clay) or some gravel! Above it, you could place some floating aquatic plants to take care of ammonia! Nice work BTW!
Really appreciate your help and knowledge
ОтветитьG'day Rob, 1st of all great job! I have a question for you, in your opinon, what is the best fish to work with..
tilapia.
blue gill/brim/sunfish/crappie.
catfish. (Dont want to do as they are a clevor fish and i like them n dont wont to do)
carp.
koi.
fancy goldfish.
pacu.
Etc?
so why do you not use pipes with a smooth surface??/Why use these black tubes that create a lot of resistance??? You lost me here.
ОтветитьWhat a great video.
ОтветитьAt last, someone who knows what they are talking about. Great presentation, great information, thanks Bob.
ОтветитьCheers, Rob, this is just what I was looking for!
ОтветитьHow does the math work out with a 2horsepower pump
ОтветитьMoved to a smallllll town and I've been really interested about aquaponics for some time. I hope I can finally get something going.
ОтветитьThanks very much
ОтветитьThis is truly the best overview of an aquaponics system I have viewed. Thank you very much for your expertise and time taken to troubleshoot and educate us on the best way to start one of these systems. Outstanding!
ОтветитьHeyy i am currently doing a design project for collage involving aquaponics and i find your videos very informative ,
is there anyway i can get in touch with you so that i can learn more about the possibilities, challenges and discuss my ideas too
Thank you so much
Lovely & inspirational project, it looks simple but my brain ( too technical) cannot all the math, science etc involved. I will consider hiring a trained aquaponic expert.
ОтветитьI really like it
ОтветитьWhat's the correct materials to use for the tanks so no plastic or whatever leaks into the water and eventually your food?
ОтветитьI took a look and didnt see it at a glance but have you done a video on food contamination risk and mitigation ie salmonellae etc?
ОтветитьPlease bro uploaded to barramundi video
ОтветитьBrilliant. Such helpful information. Thank you.
ОтветитьVery nice. Thank you. What kind of mushrooms are you growing? ;-)
ОтветитьHve you ever used coco coir in your system
ОтветитьHi Bob. I have a pond being run on 4 grow beds. Pond water holding dimensions are: 3x3x1meter. What quantities of Tilapia should I go with assuming I want them to grow to 500 grams/ 1 lb ?
2) grow bed media is gravel and wrier bed size is:
8 ft x 4 ft x 1 and 3/4 feet.
Lastly what size pumps would I ideally require for:
Water to grow beds
Water from sump to pond?
Thank you very much sir
ОтветитьDo you sell the design?
Ответитьcan it be shrimps? instead of tilapia?
Ответить👍
ОтветитьAre you in Qld?
ОтветитьNewbie
ОтветитьSeems like a lot of work compared to just planting in the ground
ОтветитьWhat about using a big garden pond? is that possible to connect to the aquaponics?
ОтветитьIf the sump that contains the fish is the sump where the water ends up with the submersible pump, what safety measure do you have to keep the water from emptying out? If it hasn't happened yet, there is a good chance that the water flow will get hindered. Whether it's human error (valve left open/closed) (kid/pet knocks into pipe) or act of nature (clog of some kind) it can happen. So if the water isn't returning to the fish sump, it will be pumped empty and fish will be without water. I'm asking because I personally have not figure out a full (or fool) proof set up. This hasn't happened to me yet, but almost has. By chance I heard some trickling splashing sound from inside my porch and luckily caught it before I lost all the water. You can think your water flow is full proof, but things happen bro! Let me know, thanks man. *nice beard btw,*
ОтветитьIs it possible to add a hydro generator or would the speed of the water be too much?
ОтветитьThis is what Aaron from monkey garage is doing now.
Ответитьhow does aquaponics compare with getting two 50lb bags of compost per week from your local trash company?
ОтветитьThis I's my dream to have one ..
ОтветитьSeriously one of the best Aquaponics videos I’ve seen!
ОтветитьI’m curious what your thoughts are regarding the solid waste by utilizing native swamp dwelling trees and shrubs like the American Cypress tree or other such greenery. Would that be a feasible option for naturally extracting the solids and if not, why? Thanks for all the inspiration and as always I love your content!!! 🎉 Cheers! 🍻
ОтветитьThis incredible!
Great work !!
Looks like you reinvented some pool stuff. Was there a reason you didn't use commercially available pool filters and pumps?
Ответитьany thoughts on connecting the fish tanks to grow towers
