Testing All Star Eater Super Damage!

Would have been nice to have actual damage numbers vs whether or not it can kill a stike boss or not

My first drop was Star Veil, my second was Osmio/Swarmers. I have my 2 god rolled class items. Just after osmio/verity to finish it off!

Hammer of Sol needs to be further from the boss, the hammers get extra damage after they fly a set distance.

I have a star eater apotheosis class item and idk nova bomb still just doesn’t feel great

I'm not a Hunter main but i wish Celestial Nighthawk was available for their Exotic class item

for thundercrash SES (70%) is less than falling star (100%) so if you’re a titan and using tcrash use falling star

Shouldn’t he have used the projectile for the strand titan since the light melee does more damage to severed/suspened targets (can’t remember what actually buffs the damage in it) with typical dps faze going heavy+light+light+light then repeat?

What surges were Active?

For titans use Spirit of star eater and spirit of eternal. That should be goated for dps.

It's not whiny or ungrateful to want actual numbers in a damage testing video. There's no point in doing a visual comparison of health bars because they're notoriously finicky.

A dungeon or raid boss will just tell you the damage total after a wipe. The -5 penalty doesn't matter because it's applied to everything, all he would've had to do is removed the surge bonus for a handful of the supers. He could've even gotten a checkpoint.

A few minutes doing mechanics and using a calculator is less than or equal to the time spent running the entirety of the same strike a dozen times.

When I was doing Nezarec DPS with prismatic hunter, I used Star-Eater Scales with Silence and Squall because it would increase my damage output (I had nothing else for it) and increase my damage with Facet of Courage. Technically it could also trigger Command once or twice. For Facet of Courage, Warlock can use Bleak Watcher before starting Song of Flame for the buff.

This is completely worthless. Why did you test it this way?

This kind of stuff just makes me even more disappointed in this game with how heavily bungie leans into health gating bosses

Dps test on a strike boss? Go to dungeon or raid. Haha strike bosses have low health compere to dungeon and raid.

IDK, Star Earters plus Inner Most Light, is pretty damned hot for both DPS, and Neutral Game!

I wasn't familiar with Star-eater as I am new to D2 and only play titan.

Do you think this combo is worth using the resources to masterwork? I am on the hunt for HOIL + Synthos/Contact or Scar... but this combination caught me by surprise.

It's pretty nice to go invisible on powered malee kills and then stack feast of light for super damage.

I have been using the Hammer of Sol Super since Bungie buffed it in the recent patch, but I will definitely be trying Twilight Arsenal... that damage looks crazy! 🍻
