Didn't realize the core painting had different exits tied to it. That's pretty neat, giving you different destinations depending on where you approach it from. And here I thought it was just one single exit into the dark maze where you can find the aforementioned core.

I think you start seeing a lot more common occurrence of the colors of areas getting twisted, "corrupted" the more Stars you have, so, it really feels like you are directly raising the percent chance of what ever area or course you are loading into, randomly getting visually messed completely up the more Stars currently collected. So mesmerizing how this game actively evolves as you play it. I respect it so much, and really admire the crazy amount of work that must have been done to put this rom hack together.
