In the eighties when Rajanji and Sajanji were performing at the Music Circle in Pasadena, CA, when the audience were requesting songs, I shouted out loud my favorite raga Malkauns. I was in the front, and they sang Darbari (very well), and in the midst, Rajanji said looking at me 'Ye Nauvjwan ka man pasand gana" and sang Malkauns for a few minutes. Such was their greatness and humility. We tried to bring them to our temple to sing, they were so polite in their correspondence. Sadly we could not align the dates for their concert, but I went to to most of their concerts in our area, and they always remembered even a nobody like me. Lucky for us we can listen to such a great performance. Thank you Shri Jha and Komal Nishad for posting this very rare piece.
