It’s Persian gulf… not Arabian gulf . You studied history but forgot to study Geography 101…

Also, Mosadegh was a Ghajar prince and with the help of America democrats tried to destroy all that great Reza Shah and Mohammad Reza Shah builded up for a modern Iran… and American democrat and MI6 achieved to distort modern Iran by supporting evil religious mafia Khomeini by Jimmy Carter administration…

Arabian Gulf? 😂 So the British wanted to act like they had never looked at a map. It has never been the Arabian gulf, in every available map since the 1600s has been Persian Gulf.

just 12 minutes i see tons of mistake done by middle east and moslem country and empire do. its like watching you country get raped by colonialist western country and you cannot do anything about it. i guess thats why i hate history. you learn something that make you sad and angry but you cannot change it. its already happened . now i know why muhammad peace be upon him said that moslem is like a cake and everyone eats them. i hate this video not because of of the lecturer and what he said but because of the gloomy things happened to moslem country.

I came across dr Roy Casagranda's lecture videos a few days ago and i just can't stop watching and listening to them, the amount of clicks these videos are getting doesn't do justice at all to the quality that we're getting, i hope his lectures go viral soon. His intellect, information, humor and delivery is absolutely incredible. You can feel his love for history when he talks about it, and the way he presents each topic as well as the surrounding circumstances and information about them, which then in turn give you a perfect picture of whats going on when it all connects is absolute perfection. He's just a treasure.

Why do you not take sides in the Persian vs Arabian gulf argument? Aren’t you a historian? It’s always been Persian gulf and you know it. I’m disappointed in you. You have to defend your professional integrity by apologizing to the Iranian people.

The Ottoman empire collapsed due to its inability to keep up with the fiat currency model of modern banking. Any reason to tie this to religion or lack of innovation is bonkers. Innovation can happen when there is enough R&D funding to fund it. The lack of modern banking (enslavement and lies via fiat currency) is what led the Ottoman empire to a miniscule financial economy in comparison to the western powers. The Ottoman empire quickly found itself in debt to western powers. Secondly, the western powers started opening up influential centres to sway the minds in the Ottoman empire i.e., Robert college etc. These think tanks and educational institutions created a "western way" of thinking which led to the insurrection of the young turks and other political powers which revolted against the Sultans. Simple.

What Schwarzkopf suggested to over thrown Mosaic reminded me of what happened in Hong Kong. A solicitor name Li, would frequented the American Ambassy, a council member in Hong Kong, proposed to enact the expedition law, knowing full well any expedition law is two ways. He went full steam ahead to enact the part that expedite suspected criminals from China to HK, but he opposed the part for expediting potential criminals from HK back to China and stirred up the demonstrations.

good lecture, excellent delivery and educational. However, there were few errors - He mentioned Iranians were acting/or becoming or interested in being categorized as white europeans during the shah, yet immediately mentions the 2500 years celebration and Cyrus the great. Shah strived to make Iran like its ancient past, a powerful nation not at the mercy of bigger powers. There was a lot more emphasis on Iranian-ness of Iran than on its islamic elements. This does not make us want to be like white eurpeans, if anything, it makes us much more iran-centric. Yes, we don't want to be like arabs, but we also don't want to be like the "west", and that was his emphasis, of course modernization is often equated with westernization. In terms of nose surgery, this trend increased significantly after the revolution, prior to it, the per capita surgery was similar to other countries. It is far more of a trend now. I doubt he was in iran during Shah's time, but when he was there in 2002, certainly, that trend of girls puting surgery tape on their noses had become popular, this has nothing to do with Shah or the ayatollahs for that matter. lastly, it turns out Shah was absolutely correct in dealing with the political opponents in Iran. That opposition in Iran was not the same socialist as Sweden or Finland. These guys were bolsheviks and maosits who picked up guns and killed many innocent iranians. Everything he said about them has come true and far worse in the last 40 years. shah should have been much tougher. The last point where I completely disagree with him is his last point about Iranians not wanting to necessarily get rid of islam, they just want a secular regime. This is incorrect, the fastest growing country in terms of christianity is Iran, not it is good, it is actually terrible to replace one dumb religion with another dumb abrahamic religion. Majority of Iranians today don't consider themselves muslims. I can tell you as an Iranian, the only way to save Iran, is to return to its Iranic values. The grand Persian poet Ferdowsi said this in a poem some 1100 years ago, and he knew Islam better than many. that religion is a virus or cancer that should be taken out like a tumor.

Great commentary but careless coverage of the recent protests. Hijab is an obligation, a compulsory tenet of Islam, it is an act of modesty and a guard of safety for women against lustful men. We will have lustful men in society, let it be Islamic or un-Islamic, and for women to save themselves to some degree from the burning eyes of these raping men is to observe hijab. To have a referendum for an Islamist republic is to accept and accommodate all Islamic fundamentalist beliefs. You can't have the prospect of democracy that Islam offers but reject the obligations that Islam defines. Women are not oppressed by the hijab, they are simply brainwashed by Western civilization. As you mentioned, women began coloring their hair and performing nose surgery, so we can see that this trend of Westernization is once again brought back by the prevailing Western news and media agencies. The morality police keeps the society within the principles of Islam, it is a necessity for stability and a hindrance against Western propaganda.

A real charlatan! Starting with the British Empire, while 2500 years before, Iran was already a world empire! He does not know whether that is Persian Gulf or Arabian Golf, although if it is made clear in Grikic History that it is Persian Gulf leaving that all current Arab countries in southern Perrzicshe Golf are only less than 50 years old! How much do you earn to manipulate the brain of young students as a liar?
