**TRIGGER WARNING** Having a tonic clonic grand mal epilepsy seizure.

Why do all these videos have trigger warnings on the titles ? Can someone that is prone to having seizures watch these videos and just from watching a seizure happen make the person that's watching the video I have a seizure?

I have prolonged grand mal seizures from hypoglycemia as a complication of type 1 diabetes that can last 30-40 minutes and unlike some types of seizures, these need glucagon or i.v. glucose replacement or I die. I await a pancreas transplant due to hypoglycemia unawareness, fearing living completely alone.

I get gran mal seizures like this. Unfortunately I had 1 today and couldn't spend time with my family for Thanksgiving. I feel so drained,head was pounding,I urinated on myself during seizure. That was new. Tongue bitten up so much it hurts to eat. Stay strong and I'll be praying for you.

Помогал 3 раза случайным людям при эпилепсии в общественном месте. Первый раз под рукой была бутылка и по памяти знал что нужно раздать зубы. Бутылка это плохой вариант. Хотя-бы ветку с дерева. Второй раз сам больной чувствую припадок попросил меня сделать ему больно сжимая его руку как при приветствие. Сжав сильно в течении минуты его отпустило. Если видите что человеку становится плохо помоги хотя-бы присесть. Так как может прийти спазм мышц и оцепенение и человек может падая с высоты своего роста разбиться или причинить себе вред.

That is not a grand mal seizure. That is the most peaceful low stakes seizure I've ever seen.

A grand mal seizure is so much more violent. My brother has seizures and he has Grand Mal seizures and they make your seizure look normal.

So much so that seeing this video just makes me jump out of my skin because my brothers are so bad. 😢

I'm not trying to be ugly I'm not trying to be negative or anything but it's almost bothering me.

My brother seizures are what nightmares are made of. The seizure this lady just had is not nothing compared to what I'm talking about.

My brother's seizures scare me and he almost bit my thumb off one time because I thought he was choking on his spit and blood from biting his tongue....
I knew that you're not supposed to do that but when is happening and you see your brother choking real hard and then he starts to go softer seeming like he's dying its a diff story...

This is a very mild seizure that this lady just had. I would not call it a grand mal.

Also this is the first seizure where I've ever heard somebody make noises like that repeatedly. Repetitive sound.

I don't know what this is but it's definitely not what my brother has...
And honestly I'm glad she is not having what my brother has, I wouldn't wish it on ANYONE!!!

I have had seizures since my first(of six, so far) brain surgery in Feb.'68 at 9mos.-old. My most recent GM/TC was in 2005, before that 2002, before that in childhood. Since 2005, I have only ha myoclonic seizures.

Once when i was 10, my mom was driving my step sister, my baby brother and i. We got to a stop light and she said she didn't feel right, then started having a seizure. I took my seat belt off, leaned to the front seat, and grabbed her phone. The car started moving and we rolled into the wrong lane. A car pulled out in front of us and stopped our car from wreaking into trees and a building. I called my step dad because we were close to where he was. It was a very scary situation.

Cast out this demon!

As my mom could explain, a seizure is the brain short-circuiting, and she's not wrong. I remember one time my mom and I were talking about school (my grades weren't very good so I told her this) and then she stared to stare behind me, then she had a seizure. I still believe it's my fault. She's still alive, and I keep telling her my brain keeps making me think it's my fault because I keep thinking I made her stressed enough to have one. She keeps telling me it's not my fault, so I try to believe her.

Ive been told that was a similar noise i made but i stiffened up and put of the 6 times that i know off that i had one i was in my hometown and i stiffened up and was makong noise when i came to i had no idea what happened i lost my job because of seizures that happened only once doing the job and after getting laid off for saftey reasons they said while i was waitimg to get picked up becauae i loaned my car to my bf for the day i woke up to fire rescue saying I had another seizure and that my blood pressure was elevated made me go to the er im 27 I havent had many more but my blood pressure and heart rate has been through the roof high and about a year and a half ago before my bfs nephew had to lay his motorcycle down and while in the road got ran over I was fine but I really started having problems and even now over a year later I'm still having problems they've just gotten worse

I am currently reading the idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky and my favorite character has seizures. I wanted to learn more and this is so informative. Thank you so much . More power to you...
