Chibnall’s era had many flaws but it contained by far the best and highest quality visual effects of Doctor Who ever.

That Tardis vortex scene in Twice Upon A Time I could tell was yours

Stunning. Not only hands-down the best special effects Doctor Who has ever seen, but without doubt some of the best science fiction special effects on ANY TV show. Most of the CGI is so good I didn't even spot it! With the greatest of respect, I didn't like the Chibnall era at all, but honestly, I tuned in many times just to see the special effects. Many incredible shots not shown in this reel but I assume you did them because of the quality!

imagine being the guy who did the regeneration effect, that's so cool

coming here again and have to say the writing in Jodie's era is weak but the visuals is way better than Ncuti's era. I'm still impressive how high budget Flux looks but is low budget comparing to Disney era that looks cheaper than this.

I love the title sequence of this era. Despite everything bad about the era, the vfx was amazing.

Sorry, but something about this reel doesn't seem to add up. I know a CG generalist can usually take on lots of areas of the pipeline, but there are vastly different disciplines shown here. It would be really useful to have the elements of the shot listed somewhere that you actually did rather than just showing the footage.

The best the show has ever looked. They've now got one million dollars per episode and yet it still looks considerably worse than this. We miss you John Smith, good luck in future ventures. You are an amazing artist.

I just have to say that as a fan since the 1980s, my absolute favourite visual effects have been in Jodie's run so I'm delighted to see this video and simply say thank you for such beautiful work

Imagine getting to work on the last VFX shot for Nu-Who..

Every few months I think about this video, and watch it again. Such a gorgeous collection of VFX. We Doctor Who fans were so lucky to have someone of your talent working on the show - not just in technical skill, but in amazing creative artistry. I think Thirteen's regeneration is the most beautiful-looking shot in all of Doctor Who, and it will take a lot to surpass it.

You are a legend, full stop.

If tptb had made this compilation and showed it 4 years ago, during Jodie's tenure, I'm sure it'd be far more popular. Instead we only know the boring companions and poor storylines.

thats insane for one person, still it should look better for such a huge TV show in my opinion.
why didnt they hire a proper team for this? sure not all shots were done by just one person but they could look so much better when a whole team would have worked on it.
