How Blizzard Killed Overwatch Twice

This video was a different format from my previous ones and that's because this is the direction I want my content to head in :). A few months ago I started drawing up all the sprites (I still need to do way more) and getting this type of content ready but for some reason I just couldn't find a video that worked to make this transition. But finally, I picked this one. And I hope you guys liked it! I'm a bit new to this format, so there's still a few things to improve on and work out I'm sure. But, we'll just see where this goes! :D

The only thing I disagree with is the rank actually like the ow2 icons more than ow1. The ow1 icons looked plastic and distorted. I like the colors of ow1 platinum diamond and master and I feel gm needs a different color something purple or just anything to make it stand out more. But the ow2 icons look more sleek and well designed they aren't perfect and I'd like to see the ow2 design built upon. I don't know why so many people are upset with the changes

God everything in this video sums up how I feel about the whole situation. Especially how you can't just go back to Overwatch 1 because it's gone. I heard Overwatch 2 was not that different and extremely monetized so I figured I'd just hop on the first game to play there and I felt so scammed seeing it not even being an option. It really sucks because sometimes I get the urge to hop on some Junkrat and bomb things up but it just feels pointless to play

Apparently the PvE they did get is pretty uninspired, gameplay-wise. From what I've seen, it looks like just more of what events like Uprising and Retribution offered. And that's fine! But not for how much they're charging. At least they're finally moving forward on the lore.

Oh wow, Blizzards game launch day/week went bad? Who'd have guessed... It's not like it's been like that with them since the burning crusade. Ow2 launch was still mild in comparison to Diablo 3 launch by far. D3 launch from AAA developer has to be the worst in history, the problems lasted for months and months.

What makes this sad is if you compare this to Bungie's Destiny Series, you were getting a gave that gave us PvE, PvP, and story lines successfully every 3 Months!

At least we got good porn out of it.

Video game companies now a days would rather make a quick buck than make a game that lasts that would make a ton of money over a long period of time.

The thing that really ultimately pissed me off to high hell was the fact that they took OVW 1 down. I hadn't been playing for a while due to a few reasons including the Blitzchung issue, but I could've come back, especially for a PvE mode because I'm a huge fan of story modes. But then I heard they were only having one tank, and for a support, that just sounded like hell. And it was F2P with a battlepass. And the PvE wasn't present at launch. And then, and then, and then. Every day seemed to give me a new reason to never, ever touch Overwatch again. Which sucks, because it's a game I really did enjoy. But... I guess that's just the way it goes.

They then went to put the campaign behind yet another pay wall for a limited time

the reason they focused more on profit making was due to OW1 being a cash cow that fans fully supported.

I was one of many people who want to see overwatch 2 but they took my money my stuff nerfs character that were fine did not nerf op character

If you want a fun FPS team game go to TF2 it will be more fun

On a little bit late, but I can’t believe Bungie did a better job than Blizzard. They kept their original game online.

Also, hated the change to 5v5. 6v6 was unique; it created an off-tank main-tank dynamic never seen.

The GOAT meta, while not fun to play, was really fun to watch. And teams like Chengdu Hunters with ball centered team made it even more fun to watch.

I started playing OW1 in the open beta, fell in love with the game; I tried the competitive side in the early seasons and starting playing for fun in the late season. OW1 was a game I could boot up at any time and have fun.

Meanwhile, OW2 just isn’t fun for me, I was playing for fun and OW2 was not designed to be fun. Didn’t even finish season 1. I only play now when my friend want to play it.

In OW1, I played a 2cp map that finished 9-8 and I found it somewhat fun; in VC we were all saying it is stupid, but it was a great thing playing that long with these people. Sharing the pain and hilarity of the situation.

Seeing it get replaced by OW2 is one of the biggest disappointment in my life. My 2 main dps were changed so much it was like I was playing another character, and not in a good way.

PS:(They also screwed up the shop, some currency weren’t being properly converted, notably AUD)

This is why i switched to Valorant tbh. To me it's all what Overwatch could have been, it's sad. But i'm happy at least Valorant takes actually care of its lore and gameplay.

Comp is also bullshit because it's the sole reason they won't add weapon skins. I'm tired of seeing the default and gold weapon skins.

One of my friends who was a big fan of overwatch bought a new PC to play overwatch because he started to get issues with the game crashing. Less than a year later, OW2 came out, and the issue came back on OW2 and he couldn't come back to the original since it doesn't exist anymore (despite blizzard saying that OW1 would still work after OW2). I never saw someone feel so betrayed than that day.

Modern gaming companies only think about dollar signs, nothing else.
