so, from what i've heard- cats are stupid. they love you, they see you crying, they're like "don't like that", and since they don't know what to do they try forcibly to make you stop. (some cats don't do this and understand what to do.)

She’s like stop that fake crying shiiiiii lol. My cat is 13 and doesn’t like when I do that as well. I figured it out that it’s the noise. If I cry more softly she is more worried about me when it’s louder she swats at me.

So why she was aggressive?bc she is old or no one play with her?

Yes I refused to go to my auntie bc if her crazy mean cat 🐈 and thank God he got lost and never come back I hate him,now she has new 2 angel cat siblings girl and boy they are supper nice and cute

I wonder if having her hearing checked might’ve been a good idea? if it’s something that popped up out of the blue, maybe she’s having some hearing issues now she’s older and that’s why certain sounds are overstimulating to her?

My cats the opposite..if i cry..my cat Mr Socks licks and nuzzles me. Even gently paws my face. Fortunately he's super affectionate

Sooo many people here seeming to think this is "just about playtime." No, it isn't. Think about it, if it was the cat not having enough playtime she would have been a menace her whole life, not only as she got older. Sensory toys are different.

My parents had this one senior cat for almost 18 years. This cat knew me when I was almost 9 years old towards almost 27 years old. He was very sweet and friendly in his old age just liked when he was younger. He rubbed his head towards my nose or chin. I treated him as a buddy. My parents had another cat that was younger than him. He came from abusive background before my parents adopted him inside of our home. He liked to be petted with one hand instead of 2. He did easily got pissed off if it was too much. He did come back for some more. It was just a little bit of playing with him. My parents liked how cute he was in the face. He got along with the older cat.

Senior animals in general tend to get aggressive due to old age related pains. She needs to see a vet too to rule out any physical problem. Psychologically, they need more attention and extra sense of safety, not just through spaces and toys, but also from the owners. When we feel fear, animals interpret that as aggression, so they feel unsafe and aggressive as well.

I had a cat similar to that. I finally was attached in my sleep. Blood everywhere. I gave her away to someone who had a farm. She was an indoor cat and maybe she was stressed because she could not go outside. After she went to her new home and she was able to go outside the new owners said she never tries to attach.
