This movie was absolute garbage.

Tried to watch it- the nonstop changes from one shot to the next shot to the next shot to the next shot to the next shot and so on made it exhausting to watch and hard to get interested in. So totally, unrelentingly bombastic. Not my kind of movie at all. Maybe I’ll enjoy the spoof starring John C. Reilly as Elvis.

Most movies have loud music and sound affects you can hear what thay are talking about. Or do the know their line. I don't think so that . They redub over. Better Rais the dead actors from the fifty they didn't have a prompt. The member their lines. Not reading it.

Well, some things never change. I watch a lot of actors/singers/ documentaries and the great ones all have one thing in common: people depending on them and robbing them: Whitney, MJ, Elvis, Marilyn, their family, managers, studios, friends , "friends", women, men, media.... Saw this movie today. GREAT performances, stick to the truth, not trying to "paint " his life like some do. I didn´t know Elvis never left the country !! How is this possible?! Imagine if he said NO to colonel, what his life would have been 😔 The IFS of life..... ❤

I would be too scared to play Elvis knowing he was a predator being with a young girl. And people condone that behavior.

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely adore Tom Hanks…but if he ever portrays your music manager in a major motion picture something went horribly wrong with your career.

Elvis” certainly works as a jukebox, and it does deliver exactly what you’d expect from a Luhrmann movie. But it never gets close to Presley; it never deals with the knotty man inside the jumpsuit; it never grapples with the complications in his legacy. It’s overstuffed, bloated, and succumbs to trite biopic decisions.

It's about time we had a big budget epic Elvis film. Congratulations to Baz Luhrmann for directing an exceptional movie. The camera angles and movement throughout give the film a dynamic breathtaking feel about it.
Austin Butler as Elvis puts in an incredible performance. His voice, his look, his presence is a very convincing Elvis.
For me, Tom Hanks steals the movie as Elvis's slimy and flawed manager Colonel Tom Parker. He puts in another exceptional performance demonstrating traits where his character is quirky, selfish and often very humorous. Its another performance that deserved an oscar. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors of all time.
UNMISSABLE.
