Ответитьsaganaki is my favorite in athens. they make it different though in germany.
ОтветитьPlease next time ask the locals how the words are pronounced. Friendly tip. 🙃

ОтветитьNice.....l....111
ОтветитьEating like the locals 😅 , food in restaurants and fast food isn't food that Greeks eat in their homes, it is food that Greeks eat when going out for have a good time.
ОтветитьI know now.,not to visit Greece. All,the GangBanging Graffiti
ОтветитьAthens has a lot of bakeries and BYZANTION (pronounced Vizándion) is one worth visiting for its quality, artisanal products as you saw. The second bakery you visited is in fact a chain (Apollónion) and that sign with the words is not its name but the products it sells: Bread, Sweets, Croissant, Coffee.
Ответитьwhy ruin things that are perfectly good with Nutella
ОтветитьActually saganaki is the little pan on where food are made and not the fried cheese!
ОтветитьKoulouri is definitely not turkish but it is Greek. Learn properly before you speak.
ОтветитьJust a little clarification, moussaka is not topped with cheese it's topped with bechamel. And if you want to compare something greek to lasagna use pasticcio which is pasta and meat sauce topped woth bechamel.
ОтветитьWhats the deal with americans not ising the knife utencil? Other than that, the food looks great :-)
ОтветитьI loveeeee mousska it's so good my dad makes its home made you guys should of had loukoumades they are do yummy
ОтветитьThe Culinary Letdown: A Californian Quest for Gourmet in Greece:
When our food-obsessed group, proudly wearing our Californian foodie badges, decided to embark on a culinary journey to Athens, our spirits were as high as the ancient Acropolis. The land that gifted the world democracy surely had a plethora of flavors awaiting us. Instead, we were met with a flavor plateau that left us yearning for more.
The perpetual offering of souvlakis with unapologetically stale bread became a predictable fixture of our Athenian dining experience. The red and green bell peppers dolmas, while vibrant on the plate, echoed a monotonous tone on our palates. We couldn't help but wonder: Where was the fresh baked bread warm from the hearth? Or the comforting embrace of a hot soup or the gentle warmth of a well-brewed tea? Aspects that should have been staples in such a storied land.
Ironically, back in the Golden State, our local Whole Foods flaunts an olive bar that is reminiscent of a mini Mediterranean festival. Yet, in Athens, supermarkets seemed to treat olives with casual indifference, limiting their variety and essence.
Having explored more than 80 establishments across mainland Greece and its islands, our enthusiasm began to wane. We found ourselves booking a hasty weekend retreat to the gastronomic haven of Antalya, Turkey. And what a relief that was! Turkey, with its rich culinary canvas, proved to be a stark contrast. The food was not just food - it was art, it was a story, it was, dare we say, seductive
it is actually called............SPAN AH KOPI TA!!! and MOUSE AH KAH enjoy
ОтветитьNice ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьTry the pita gyros
ОтветитьLearn to pronounce things properly please
ОтветитьGo to Albania and eat like a queen 😊
ОтветитьHi it's John thanks for the video Greece beautiful food and people take care you 2all the best John uk
ОтветитьI lived in Greece in the early 90s. My late husband and I loved it .We were there for 2yrs. The food was authentic and awesome. The people are the nicest you could ever meet. I have so many fond memories of Greece.
In my next life I want to be Greek.
Greece best !
ОтветитьWhat you have on the table are mostly Turkic for thousands of years it is a shame that they presented as Greek food
ОтветитьI found your video and was excited to get some food tips but you didn’t list the names of the restaurants, etc in the video or description. I really hope you would name the places next time you do a food tour.
ОтветитьAs a greek i reccomand first thing first eat gyro
ОтветитьDetroit area has a lot of greek foods, not just in Greektown. These foods are found pretty easily here. If you can't afford to go to Greece, give the Detroit area a go.
ОтветитьLove Greece. Nice video .
ОтветитьThank you! What is the name of the first restaurant you were at? The food looks so fresh and delicious!
Ответитьmouzaka is not topped with cheese its besamel and a bit of
cheese
It is a bechamel cream on the moussaka not cheese.
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention the main ingredient in tzatzoki, gatlic. As for saganaki it can't be made with just any cheese it's best with kefalograviera.
ОтветитьThe way you pronounced "Byzantion" illustrates how illiterate Americans are. Please eat, chew but do not talk.
