I literally have locked myself out of my cabinet lol. Guess it’s adult-proof too….or idiot proof

Never use self adhesive items ….they destroy the furniture when you want to remove them after the child grows up😢

Bought this child lock for my oven drawer because it kept opening (probably due to it being unbalanced but don't have the means or manpower to balance it) luckily i got these exact ones in a pack of 5 on Amazon. The only issue is it seems that once you press on the lock (the one attached to the strip, not the side with the latch), it becomes permanently locked in place. Was hoping to find a video on how to get it to open but no luck. Will have to just install it flat.

Make sure you measure the space between before you unstick it because it still can leave a space and their little fingers could get smashed so make sure there's no give. I'm 100% satisfied with them. I followed his instructions and it worked. I bought them on Amazon.

I would not waste time and money on these type of products. The first day installed on the dresser the baby slammed his fingers in the gap and now he has torn the straps out of the plastic holders and the adhesive is now lifting off and coming off dresser. The straps are too short if you need extra space due to ridges and ornamental framing. So, in one day it was all a waste. If your baby explores a lot, they will figure out how to break. Really, you will be wasting money. Something you use hardware to attach with will be the only secure and safe way.

Can you use this on a door, in other words a straight securing surface rather than wrap around ninety degrees as on drawer? Still strong enough?

These absolutely do not work! My 2 & 3 year old figured these out in 2 days alone with Amazon’s highest rated child proof door knob covers that have 2 buttons to press before you twist.

I’ve had to put gates back up in front of every door and pathway even though it’s a hazard.

It’s better than them getting into glass or chemicals under a sink though.

I search every few days for a new product that actually works for kids that are very crafty.

I just did this on a similar dresser. I feel like there's still to big a gap left, enough for a baby's finger's to get caught. The problem is the extension on the side of the dresser. It creates slack. They work better on dressers that have even sides.
