The false toung or Kilties is actually to protect the real toung from the laces. The laces would rub against the leather all day and prematurely wear the toung. By having the protector you just change that and that's it.

Nice boots! Those are called woodsman heels, not Cuban heels.

Cuban heel is a straight inward diagonal line (like a cowboy boot)

Woodsman heel is a slightly curved inward line (like a logger boot)

Kilties is what there called. They look good with that logger heel. And yeah the state of California thinks everything will give you cancer. That tag is on pretty much every product here in the states.

They are not Goodyear welted and are hand-sewn

Some called in False tongues some people call them kilties. Yes definitely use them in the boots

Been using a pair of bounty hunters, with vibram 700 sole, for work for just about 6 years. Needed one resole after 4 years. Just FYI these are not Goodyear welted. Totally different process.

How long is the waiting time to ship?

I’m sure those get lots of compliments from your mates when you wear them to the pub. I’m not worthy of such well built boots as I use mine for working in the wild around my home in the mountains of Colorado. I couldn’t imagine wearing them while cutting wood and working in the mud and snow.
