How to use the remote!? To setup my remots not working

Do you need an antenna for the unit to work correctly? For the live TV ? I don’t have an antenna at my house

Is this used in replacement of the sky q box or is it just for multi room and wrong sky q box does 1080p or 2160p

Don't send your money. They rip people off. You won't get anything. I bought one and all i get was a bunch of cry stories about how they were out of stock and then the company got sold. And now they refusing to give me my money back. I am going to hit every blog i can . Calling local law enforcement on these criminals.

I signed up for sky in the week and got sky stream as part of the deal. I thought I would go across to sky for 18 months and cancel all my streaming services (let then get new content etc)...
I am ridiculously unhappy with the sky stream user interface. It is so clunky, and actaully quite difficult to differentiate between what I can and can not watch. I was sold it under the premise of being similar to NOWTV, so I would be able to go to movies and see just the sky movies for example. You can do this but not before you have navigated through 10's of menus...
I genuinely thought that the UI would just have options for rhe other apps (fine by me) and but then a big button that says Sky content that we could click on and not have to worry about if its on this app or that app...
It could be improved by just applying a filter to not show programs from apps thay I do not subscribe to...

Maybe I've been to used to just using the smart TV and selecting my apps as and when...
Either way I'm still within my 14 day cool off period so it can go back aha

my freesat dish stopped working due to a mix of big trees and dammaged coax so going to give sky stream a go as on demand streaming is a bit over welming for me and even apps like now tv offer limited live tv with a ui geared towards tv od service

I'll still miss the great qaulity of freesat hd and to this day i miss sky+ for its tactile remote and classic looking box but the best on offer for me as of now is definitely stream

Can you access sky store content? I have a few films via my sky q box which I can access.

i had the same software issue , it was stock on the download page for about half an hour, so nine months later they still have problems, AND the remote took ages to pair

If it can't record I will not be switching, my wife passed away 5 years ago and i still have and watch her favourite film on it. I know one day it will eventually fail as all electronic goods will and i will decide then whether to carry on with sky if i can't record any programs.

Sky has gotten to be such a rip off.

This is a great fair review, I have just moved to the steam service, I have a large property with a 2TB SkyQ main box and 3 mini's - I don't have Sky BB as its poor so I moved to Virgin 350m which is great! Skey engineers came last week as boxes keep disconnecting and we have one in the annex next door (In laws) and said the only way is to hard wire all the boxes (I don't want cables everywhere and neither does the wife), so I moved to Stream and bar some subtitle issues it's been fine, picture is better, we shall see how it performs over the coming weeks....

Saving a fiver a month lol 😅😅

bought a philips 4k uhd oled tv it's getting delivered this Saturday, was talked into getting the sky streaming box, thought I was getting the full sky package, "fool me" it's just the basic stuff you get everything else comes at a cost , I have an Amazon fire stick which is just as good as the sky streaming box and only costs £45 or it did when I got mine, no monthly payments, sky streaming costs £26 pound a month, what a rip off, phoned to cancel explaining why, the guy on the other end said he could let me have sky streaming for half price £13 for 9 month half of 18 month contract term but still not worth it in my opinion.

It seems like Sky Q has none of the down sides of this, I’ve never been pushed into an app when recording on Sky Q plus I have the same package as you (Entertainment, no kids/sports or movies but with UHD netflix, and i only pay £28 for Sky Q (2TB)

Too laggy and 'bitty' compared to 'Q'.Not for me.

Nah i dont like it. Doesnt seems as responsive as normal normal sky its all very laggy.

My sky Q was £56, the sky stream i pay now is £89 - its definitely not cheaper. They seem to be more lenient on offering discount to sky Q. (The package is sport, entertainment, bt sport, UHD, skip adverts)

I use the JustWatch app's watchlist feature on my NVidia Shield to series link. That jumps to the series or episode in the relevant channels on demand app. I also use the app on my mobile and desktop so I have access to my watchlist wherever i am.

such demonstrations are pointless if you are blurring the screen. You could do like rate my tech who once turned on his lamp and it was shining circle before tv screen. Talking about tv devices when we cannot see TV screen and evaluate quality of the program is insane.

Now that all the new streaming products are on the market, they can go back to Sky Q and fix all the software glitches. Been told by Sky customer services that they don’t deal with software issues until they have enough complaints.

This would be way better if it had a usb port so you could plug in a usb stick or portable hard drive and record to that

Sky Q is the same as Sky Stream but with Sky Q youcan record. Sky Q allows you to watch from the beginning also

Do you get adverts on the iPlayer, itv, 4od stuff when you use them via playlists? Or can you fast forward through them/skip them?

Notice Stv player can you get itv x as I hate stv also bbc Scotland do have add post code when stalling or can you use a English post code so get BBC South channels. As current Sky Q can add channels to your TV get via Google for frequency?

Does it work on any 'host' internet provider or is it only 'certain providers' that can stream through? The building I am moving to is new but and is not wired up to the 'main providers....they only installed 'Hyperoptic' in the building so will this be compatible?
