How I Ranked 1st at Medical School - Anki Flashcards Tutorial

Hey, so I just started medschool and I wanted to ask if quizlet can be a good alternative for this?

I’m a med student in korea and im wondering,,, if I will be able to make all decks (since there is non) and also study at the same time,,,

SUPER SUPER HELPFUL!...anyone else dying to know his ethnicity... Or is it just me.. Probably just me.

How do you get through all of these flashcards?? For my introduction to physiology and community medicine courses I decided to use flashcards because a lot of CM required rote memorisation. I ended up with 946 flashcards to review a week before the exam!!!! And I’m only a first Myers medical student so I can only imagine these numbers are going to increase in the long run. How do you get through such a large number of flashcards?

Hi, can you please help me out with a problem that I have? I downloaded the Step 2 Zanki deck and now want to start studying all cards randomly for my Step 2 exam. However, once I click on "Zanki Step 2" and then "Study Now" I always get the cards from the biostats deck first. I doublechecked if the setting "random new cards" is on but there are only biostats questions showing up. Do you have any suggestions? I also uploaded a video on my channel showing this problem so that you can see what I mean. Thanks in advance!

So learn -> understand -> notes -> Flashcards. Usually I would skip notes and do textbook -> Flashcards.

Cloze deletion doesn't work if I type in the back extra filed anyone has an idea?

If you have a card with one question and on the other side a very long text (hundreds of words) how can you remember all of that?
Isn’t it better to make 10 cards and just have 5-10 sentences at the back of the card?

Quality video, mate. I'm just about to go into an MRes and I'm astounded that this is the first time I have been introduced to Anki and the concept of active recall, etc. Should really be taught in schools.

My problem with anki, is that it takes too long to cover all the cards, so i would spend so much more on the first quarter of the deck than the last 3 quarters.

very interesting! just liked and subscribed! however I think I know some tips that'll optimize your experience tremendously! they're more of mac-related tips and also tips in the anki app itself and the way its algorithm works and not tips regarding how to make good quality flashcards etc.
