i live in woking

I lived in Vale Farm Road until 1957, when I married and moved away. I have been back 4 times over the years and each time there is less I recognise. I watched this clip and all I remembered were the rail bridges and the Lion Works. Living here in New Zealand, those narrow English roads complete with parked cars, are a nightmare, They must be really dangerous after dark.

Thanks for this vid! I’m looking at potential places to move to, and Woking is on the list. It’s good to have a visual reference to know what to expect!

Up until nine years ago I lived, and worked, in Woking. What a difference since then! So modern and upmarket, and full of beautiful trees, which I took for granted before moving to Fenland (very flat). Time doesn't stand still!

the locals have been whining about the new high rises, but i kinda like them myself - sure is better to have them build up than to touch our marvellous green areas that surround woking, which is my favourite thing about living here. Worse thing about Woking is the constant construction, but with this finally finished, maybe things will be a little better

I used to live there. It's was my hometown most of my life. Wish I still did but it's so expensive for people like me on low incomes. Woking is very much an expensive middle class, up and coming London overspill town now.

I moved to woking in 2009, it was a delightful town, but now we have building works all over making comuting a nightmare.

Most beautiful town all time. We were there in 2014-2015 and it comes in front of my eyes . So nice to see again. Thanks a ton

I once visited here Woodhum Road in more than thirty years ago on foot from the station by my self in order to meet Niclola from Japan. Are they all changed!?
