Can we get more videos with this doctor! I love y’all’s vibes together lol
ОтветитьI haven't go to uni n am 19 ..l think am running out of time 😂
ОтветитьMy advice is to just do it. You are going to turn 40,50,60 etc.... eventually whether you are a doctor or not. Might as well turn 40 or 50, doing something you love.
ОтветитьVery inspiring. I started at 27 but I could still relate to the pressure you create for yourself
ОтветитьThe comment sections on this video makes me so happy 😊❤
ОтветитьThe way you snatched the PlayStation remote out of his hand😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis was a BEAUTIFUL video❤ I wish all doctors loved their profession & had the same level of respect as these doctors do❤
ОтветитьAs a mid-30 something wanting to go into nursing, I want him on every episode! You balance each other so well. The humour and wisdom and interactions between you two is great. Thanks for the opportunity to hear his experience ❤️
Ответитьyooo biomedical engineering !
ОтветитьNever too late
ОтветитьAs a 30 year old dad with a 3yo that has his own challenges... I am rejoining medicine after 3-4 years away. Started my second year just a few weeks ago. Only parent on my course. The pressure to not let down my family is real! HELP!
ОтветитьI wrap my arms around my own ignorance
ОтветитьHi.. i came over here by mistake but this guy like me ! I can't immagine that some one like me ! I worked as a Flight dispatcher and privet pilot also a Biomedical Engineer and worked in this field for 10 years and now i applied for the medical school on my way to be cardiologist and my age is 37 years .✌❤
ОтветитьMy dad is nearly 60 and he’s training to become a nurse. Don’t let your age stop you from improving 💪
ОтветитьMade me almost cry. I was just slacking from studying but after this video, I’ll be able to study better. Im probably the second oldest in my class and I’m having a hard time. Thank you, I needed motivation right at this moment.
ОтветитьStarted vet school at 34, in my first year currently 💪🏾🙌🏾
ОтветитьHe speaks like obama, very eloquent.
Ответитьvery inspiring! I always thought about being a doctor, but it costs too much, so I've decided to become a teacher instead. loved that interview! I'm 37 years old, and you have got me thinking about going to medical school.
ОтветитьIdk, engineer is the same. You are constantly learning everyday. If anything doctors are not really applying the science as engineers / scientist. Who are making the drugs doctors use?
ОтветитьIt's like i was hearing to myself, tyvm for sharing. Bless your honesty, You and your family
ОтветитьThank you so much for the video!
I am around the same age as when he started the med school and I want to study veterinary medicine. His experiences give me a lot of perspective of how I might feel starting over with students half my age, risking it all, feeling the pressure and feeling like failure of not having figured things out yet by mid life. It really does not help those feelings cuz my experience probably will be unique, however not feeling alone and only one doing this is enough to get over the feeling of being the odd one out or the outcast.
Thank you, thank you thank you
I am so dumb. Afraid of changing my course because I'm running out of time at 21.
ОтветитьThank you for giving me hope
ОтветитьWaauu
ОтветитьGood video! Im actually thinking Ill get into medicine at around 38-39.
ОтветитьI just turned 30 in May and I’m actively making strides to take the right classes to start my medical school journey and so this is a very welcomed breath of fresh air 📓🤙🏼📓🤙🏼📓🤙🏼
ОтветитьDr. Espina....we have very similar stories....I'm getting a PhD in BME after getting undergrad in Math+NanoEng (basically tiny mechanical ENG), and in the last year.....this exact thing has been running through my head non-stop. Dang, I wish I could ask his advice. I'm 35, been a Marine, been a soldier, now an engineering researcher wondering if I should go for it.
ОтветитьVery inspiring
ОтветитьAs someone who is a healthcare manager and has planned to start veterinary medicine later on in life - thankyou for this perspective 😊
ОтветитьThis video has convinced me to go back to 6th grade. Thank you
ОтветитьI’m in undergraduate Mechanical Engineering right now and literally last week for the first time I thought of doing an M.D AND getting a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering… it’s crazy how much inspiration I’ve been getting lately to further motivate me onto that path-
ОтветитьSo… you are telling me that I can actually become a surgeon, lawyer, interior designer and naval architect all in this lifetime?
ОтветитьIf he is still fit enough to serve at 72+ .
He got like 35 years to live how he wanted. I would take that any day over living like a rat.
Boys, guys, men. Hear ye, Hear ye! If you want a relationship, find a „for some strange reason the woman’s always believed in me” lady.
ОтветитьWhat a gem of a human
ОтветитьOh my gosh… I’m 34 and this amazing doctor just made me wanna go back to meds school which I quit a decade ago. Maybe it’s a sign why I searched this on YT. But, I think it’s too late and I really regret quitting. Biggest regret in my life. Anyways, thanks for this amazing content. Cheers!
ОтветитьThis was so good! Almost make me cry. Thank you! ❤
ОтветитьYou invite a guest on your show to share his experience with listeners, and you constantly cut him off and interrupt him. So childish. Like chill out and let this highly intelligent and wise man speak. 🤫
ОтветитьWe had an older guy in our residency class and when we graduated, a funny thing happened. All the patients really listened to him and respected his opinion bcz of the gray hair. Patients assumed he had been in practice for decades. Lol
ОтветитьEngineer and a doctor? Geez
ОтветитьSuch an inspiring video. Thank you!
ОтветитьI am 27. I had a bad home life, so I wanted to get to work right out of HS to attain some independence. A few years later, with my financial support, my mother finally split from my abusive father. Covid caused the litigation to take 5 years, but it finally happened. Now, at 27, I am planning to attend community college, transfer to a 4 year, and finally pursue my lifetime dream of being a doctor. Thank you for these encouraging videos.
ОтветитьI know this video has been out for a while now, but I'm only seeing this now, and I'm very grateful for your insight on going into medicine at an older age. I can relate to that sense of fear, but you've inspired me to not let these thoughts stop me from considering medicine despite having careers in other fields. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьI'm starting medical school in August. I'm 34. Decided two years ago to pursue medicine.
ОтветитьHaving a primary Dr that habitually ignores me, where can I find someone like you two?
ОтветитьI love people like this. who just go for their passion, even if it doesn't make sense at first. So much respect.
ОтветитьMy name is Luis but also known as Luisito, I also had a Professor Amitrano at Bergen Community College for A&P and have had numerous jobs with Nursing and Philosophy degrees. Dr. Espina, you are an inspiration, thank you for an amazing video and for showing many who view this video what it means to believe. Many blessings to you and your family, continue to do phenomenal work!
ОтветитьI'm an electrical engineer that has been contemplating entering medicine now for a year. It's really been a challenge within.
ОтветитьI started as a medical student when i was 35 (in 2018) and now 5 years later i still haven't finished it (had i followed my year i would have had 1 year left) - i don'd know if I'll survive it (read: finish and become a doctor) - it is hard, I am lonely on the course with no friends - i live long away from my familly and have failed many test up untel now that i have to retake in order to pass :( - right know i have OSCE this upcoming tuesday and i cannot pull myself together to train for it (even though I have no one to train with) - life is hard in medicial school some times - every day i just feel like i want to quit and then still also want to continue - so far i am located between 4th, 5th and 6th bachelor degree and then still need to take 3 years master just to finish medical school
