Since this episode aired I've tried to find anything about this ring. And I scoured old archive photos and film and couldn't find one instance of that ring on Luciano's hand. Does that mean it didn't belong to him, not in itself it doesn't? But without corroborating evidence, this will remain a strange family history story.

The reason he didn’t give any specific names outside of Lucky Luciano is simple. If he ratted out any names, he’d be in the back of a trunk and never seen again by the the end of the week, along with his mother for breaking the mobs trust. Also the reason their is no paper work or easy way to authenticate it is because the mob wouldn’t want anything that can trace back to them.
