are this RP good for plane spotting thx
Ответитьwhat kind a lens are you using in this video?
Ответитьthe dynamic range is a deal breaker for me. I shoot landscapes and I need it
ОтветитьEvery video with this camera has a purple tint to it
ОтветитьA6400 vs eos rp which one i should buy
ОтветитьI cannot complain. I paid $1000 brand new, first frame frame coming from a 7D.
ОтветитьHow does eye af performance with the newest firmware? Planning to get eos rp. My mot concern is EYE AF af-c in photo and video.
ОтветитьI’m a Sony guy but these Cannon EOS cameras are really piquing my interest
ОтветитьOne of your best reviews ever! Can be you did not notice yourself, but when you do indoor footage for video we as your audiance can see how a camera is doing in low light. Most video footage you normally do is outdoors with only very short tests in low light…. But also the step by step topics in this review are just right to follow and get a well rounded impression. So thanks a lot and keep up the good work…. :-)
ОтветитьI purchased it. It's a good camera for its price. With EF-s lenses, it cannot record the FHD video. It was a little painful to accept.
ОтветитьI have a Fuji XT3 and Sony A7R3 with a suite of lenses.
I just picked up a used EOS RP and a 35mm macro…it’s such a good walking around camera and I love it. If you can’t figure out how to properly expose a shot and just try to fix things in Lightroom, you won’t like this camera. Skinless shooters need wide dynamic range and the ability to push ISO 100 6 stops so they don’t need to think about technique.
As usual, you guyz are the final word on camera reviews. I buy solely on your videos.
ОтветитьSuper helpful. Thank you!!
ОтветитьLooking back at the comments in this video, it’s quite obvious Canon paid a lot for fake comments
ОтветитьWell, the lenses are now there, but the EOS RP i ordered i will for sure use the first months only with my existing EF lenses which are partially decent, partially "garbage", but still i bet the difference will be "dramatic" since i am coming from a 550D (and before a 350D), im waiting anyways since over 10 years to have finally affordable full frame, all my EF lenses were chosen by 1) usacase 2) in mind with using FF in future.
I really love some RF lenses like the 50mm 1.8 STM etc, but at all, their price point is ridicilous in many cases.
I will also use in the future EF lenses mainly because as soon "cheap" 2nd hand filter EF adapters are aviable i will make also finally the first time contact with proper filters, in the case of the EOS RF with a pretty neat filter/EF adapter at once and especially aviable at ANY EF lens i want to use. And there is the aspect of using the clear insert which acts like a dust protection for the cameras internals and sensor.
Only if there are coming up some special lenses with RF mount which are much better in autofocus, especially tele(zooms) and also are at least as good or better than mine, i probably think about getting any RF lens in the future. But first i will have to look how good the AF will be on a mirrorless compared to my 550D (which was mostly "just fine" by using only the center spot).
I pass on this one, I would better get a used Sony A7 for the price :)
ОтветитьGreat review of the pros and cons
Ответить4 FPS junk!
Ответитьcant stand this reviewer
ОтветитьEveryone keep saying this is ff m50. It's not! Camera is maybe little in some ff sense or way. But is huge compared to M series and gigantic compared to ZVE10/A5100 (and not let me even start with MFT, Nikon 1 or Pentax Q!). It is little smaller then some ff DSLR like 5Dmk4 but is absolutely not that much smaller then any FF mirorless camera. Specially with kit-lens attached. I set it and my other camera a5100 with 16-50 next to each other and it looked redicilous. Low light is good but it doesn't have built in flash or flipp-up screen. So not good for casual foto or street. Everyone keep saying that this is the future and we all should either use full frame or smartphones. That's redicilous! I don't think this is a future if anything this is step backwards. I hope this trends reverts soon and someone start to make reasonable sized cameras and lenses again. Only thing we need in apsc/mft are more modern sensors that are better in lowlight. No one asked about 2x bigger cameras and lenses.
ОтветитьSo are you saying in low light, high ISO situations the RP is pretty noisy? More noise than the 90d?
ОтветитьI appreciate your unbiased opinions.
ОтветитьHow would it do at long exposures like light paintings ?
ОтветитьI just bought an RP and the colors in the evf are way off. Everything is cyan. Shooting in black and white is more like black and green. Really annoying. Build quality and touch screen are excellent, but the colors in the evf are soo bad. It reminds me of the original A7 bad colors.
ОтветитьThis is honestly the best review! Thank you
Ответитьthanks for sharing
ОтветитьFound a really great deal on this camera. For 1500$ i got the camera, 70-200 f4, 24-105 f4, fisheye lens, 3 batteries, external screen, hdmi cables, extra batteries for the screen and all the chargers. The camera only has 10k shots on it. Did i get a great deal?
ОтветитьI still believe in Canon EOS RP. I still want it. If you have one that you want to throw please tell me I will get it. Or send it to me. Thank you.
ОтветитьWould this be considering a step up coming from a canon 6D Mark II?
ОтветитьGreat Video and thanks for the review !!!! quick question, anyone recommending the camera for 1300$ with RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM included for an amateur ? Thanks in advance
ОтветитьIs it worth upgrading form an M-50?
Ответитьis that the 24-105 L or the 7.1?
ОтветитьWhy are you adding "point' to the word price? Before two years ago, I never heard that. The word 'point' adds nothing to the word and concept of price. Drop the point. It's not needed. Thanks for the video though. I just purchased the RP. And that will be my camera for the next few years.
ОтветитьI brought this from amazon but unfortunately the shooter is not working its not capturing photos any idea or do i have to return
ОтветитьAt the end of 2022, I got the RP refurb on Canon's site for $600. And their RF24-105 f4-7.1 for another $120. One day I hope to upgrade to R5 equivalent, but I'm pretty happy with my low cost starter.
ОтветитьHaving camera shutter closed when the lens is removed is a very dangerous feature. The companies know this but their customer base thinks that having shutter closed is better so the companies do it. The shutter blades are very thin. To the point if you blow soft air against the shutter blades you can see them flutter. Now imagine you removed the lens on a beach and one single grain of sand got in between the shutter blades. When you put the lens back and when the blades open with the sand in between.
ОтветитьNow that this is apparently about to be replaced by the R8, did we ever find out if the "P" really does stand for "piss", as many have suggested?
ОтветитьDudes! Why are you adding the word "Point" to Price? I never heard that before 3 years ago. Stop adding redundant words. All you need to say is "Price".
ОтветитьYou can push/pull jpeg files, we call it Ai sharpening and upscaling
ОтветитьWell you guys crapped all over a affordable option for 4k video. Must be great to be able to afford the Canon ZZ99...
ОтветитьThis or Nikon z50?
ОтветитьLong time EOS M user here. Had a combination of an M3 and M6 and was shooting with both. At some point, the M3 just died on me and at first I was looking to replace it with an M50 II, but then I saw on the vendor's website that a brand new RP including the RF 50mm 1.8 lens was only about 900$, which somewhat stunned me. Full-frame with a great prime lens for noticeably less than a grand and no need to change my battery packs? Almost sounded too good to be true, but I took a leap of faith and ordered it. Best decision ever!
The camera and lens work really well together and even wide open, I get perfectly sharp and detailed pictures combined with a quick autofocus. The eye-tracking feature is also absolutely massive for me as a portrait photographer and although it isn't always perfectly on point, it still focuses on people much better than my M6 with a 32mm 1.4 ever did. Not to mention the superb low-light performance, especially when you switch from an APS-C to a full-frame.
All in all, this is the best camera to buy in terms of price-to-performance ratio and if you want to transit from APS-C to full-frame over time. I am in love with mine and cannot wait to see where this full-frame journey takes me.
Thank you for a great review.
more like a R.i.P camera for video though
ОтветитьHey guys, does anyone know what hood fits on this one Canon EOS RP + RF 24 – 105 mm? Thank you.
ОтветитьReally had me wondering if I've been saying "EOS" wrong all these years but fantastic video with really useful information. Greatly appreciate all the work put into it.
ОтветитьHello. Thank you for your very beautiful video. I wanted you to help me buy a new camera My previous camera was an 80D lens, and I mostly use it for theater photography, portrait photography, and modeling.
Please, between these two options, which one do you know is better for my work: theater photography, portraits, and modeling
Canon 6D Mark 2
Canon RP
Worst camera I've ever owned. Too many controls and too little control. Everything on this camera gets in the way of taking good pics.
ОтветитьThis a huge upgrade for my T3 , I love it
ОтветитьAnyway the camera body is weather sealed... thank you..
